This album takes me back to road trips on gas paid for in change in my first car 1991 Ford Probe with a transmission noise and this music coming from the boom box on the center console because the car stereo didn't work but no cares because we had music like The Academy is playing as loud as the dollar store D batteries would take it.
I did not know them this time the algorithm worked, he recommended it to me after listening to Diamond youth, thank you very much for sharing it, greetings from Argentina!!!
I love the fact this band along with many others got me through my teen years more than any role model I had around me and they never knew I existed. The power of music is magical.

This is amazing. I feature this video in my playlist titled "The Academy Is...". Every album + Bonus tracks, Lost In Pacific Time, From The Carpet, Music Videos, Some Live Versions, Winter Passing. I tried to include everything I could find. Currently building one specifically for lyric videos. So happy you made this. ⛧ ⛥
Best concert I have ever been to and my introduction to The Academy Is (Almost Here album) and Gym Class Heroes (The Papercut Chronicles). Fall Out Boy wrapped things up in epic fashion (From Under the Cork Tree). Bought Almost Here at that concert and literally wore the CD out.
This is the only American band I like so far and it began with one of their song Almost Here. I first heard this song when I was playing a video game that had this song one of its background songs and I loved it. Then by chance I found About a Girl on youtube and I started to love this band. People in my country rarely heard of this band and I have to buy their albums through Amazon and asked someone to bring them back to my country from the US. Im proud to be one of a few Taiwanese that loves this band.
I was on popbuzz on this quiz called which iconic album from 2005 were you or something and this was it... I'm not disappointed at all this is awesome :)
