Hi we are Emma, Stu and Finley.. aka 'The Great Escapers'.
Having spent over 5 years busy travelling the county and exploring lost history around our local area whilst running our RU-vid channel Exploring With Em & Stu.
We've now decided to share another side of our lives with you all because when we're not exploring we like nothing more than getting out and about, escaping the rat-race of life and making memories together..
So hope you enjoy watching our little escapes and welcome to our new channel. 😀
I actually worked there for a couple of years up until I had Finley, really lovely people to work for, I've got some great memories, can't believe how much the park has changed since then, I barely recognised it.. Enjoy your holiday 😀
The Seashore Haven Park in Yarmouth is one of their best, I've worked at a couple around the Yarmouth area in my past, probably why I've never been interested in visiting any but this trip was for the kids and they enjoyed it which was the important thing.. The area around St Osyth is quite interesting thought with some nice scenery.. 😁
nice to see you got in martello tower A the aviation museum ive tried several times to visit but was always shut i,ll get in there one day tower c at jawick is a good one its not full of interesting pieces so for exploring a tower to get the feel for them is great tower f is now open as a tea room almost opposite the pier in clacton i think ive mentioned before i have a thing for martello towers great video as always loved stu, expressions when he wasnt impressed lol
This is the first one I think we've been into which has been turned into a museum although we have explored a few on our exploring channel including Shotley and Grain tower.. They have some nice artifacts in there but I'd prefer to see more of the actual structure as that's what I'm really interested in.. Must try to get to some more around the area, we've walked passed many but not been in them.. Stu grew up around the area so it wasnt a holiday for him and certainly not his favorite place lol.. but since he only had 1 day off work it was ideal for me and the kids to come down from Norfolk where we live for a little fun weekend.. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙂
I always preferred Walton when my daughter was Finlay’s age, I found it much more family orientated, and the beach was much better than clacton. We used to go down the coast most weeks years ago
Yes Walton is much more our sort of place with a beautiful beach and lots of history, Stu grew up there and his family still live there so we often visit.. as u may have noticed he's not a fan of Clacton really lol 😁
Yes I did think he didn’t look to happy about the place, I thought he was brought up in London for some reason. I have not been to Walton for a while now, we used to take our dog to the naze and walk off towards the point that looks over to harwich, it’s lovely over that side very quiet.
@@lewisgardner1660 yes Stu was born in London and lived there until he was a teenager when his parents moved to Walton, although the rest of his family still live in East London and he would spend all his school holidays staying with them as well as moved back for a while later on for work.. London will always be his home but can completely understand why his parents choose to move away to Walton, its a lovely town 😊
Hi Em hi Stu so glad you enjoyed your day out in Sunny Sheringham I lived there for 3 years and loved the place, The ww2 costal defence on Skelding hill was recently revealed during footpath renewal before then if i can remember it was well hidden in gorse and you had to fight your way in to get to it. Its a shame you cant get inside as it is filled with a lot of rubble but appears to have a circular construction.. I would say there are lots more hidden gems out there waiting to be explored it just finding them. If you ever go back to Sheringham I would highly reccomend Daves fish and chips as one of the best. Loved the video and will see you in the next video.😁
Hi Damon and thanks for taking the time to watch 😁 We'd done some research on the newly uncovered ww2 defence before we went and plan on some day returning to make a full video on it.. Its amazing whats still hidden, thought to be lost along our coast, its very exciting that they've managed to uncover some of it, hopefully in the future we may get a glimps at abit more if possible.. We'll definitely be returning to Sheringham again as we visit quite regularly especially in the summer so will be sure to check out Daves Fish and Chips! 😊👍
The North Norfolk coast is stunning, we often go to Sheringham on little day trips and thought it might be nice to film it this time. Thanks for watching 😊
Looks like you all had a great day out. I've been to the Beamish and Black Country museums which are a similar concept. Definitely going to visit this one when I'm in the area. It's a great first video for the channel, looking forward to more.
Thanks Richard for watching.. I went to Beamish when I was a child and can remember it being brilliant, been wanting to return back but haven't got round to getting up that far north again again yet! Crich is definitely worth a visit if you're around that way 😊👍
He absolutely loves making the videos with us which is why we wanted to do something he can be more involved in.. apparently he wants to be a youtuber when he grows up! 😄
Thanks Stephen for taking the time to watch and comment on our videos.. We've not been to the Black Country museum, maybe we'll have to put it on our 'To do' list 😀
