Genius stuff. I didn't realize twisted's were even feasible with bombs. Would it not be faster to just do one more rather than the death ledge grab with the fairy? I can't exactly tell where Link is relative to the wall with the camera at the end.
You'd have to do like 3 more hovers to reach the ledge without death ledge grab and no pause desperately needs those extra bombs for the 2nd hover cause no way to get a bomb bag over 20 and no way to refill up top
Great! This is an interesting discovery. With this glitch, you can avoid falling and having to restart, magma, and being crushed by blocks. I tried this glitch in OoT3D and found that it is also possible to do it using Fire Arrow. When you fail to trigger the glitch with the magic arrows, try getting close to Like-Like. Although Like-Like dies when hit by a magic arrow, if Link is close enough during its stun, it will transition into grab motion, allowing Like-Like to remain active with 0 health. Additionally, I discovered that by using Nayru's Love, you can have more time to move to another room after breaking free from Like-Like to storage grabbed state. While under the effect of Nayru's Love, Like-Like does not transition into the spit-out motion, but if you defeat Like-Like, it will spit you out. In the Spirit Temple, I confirmed that by using this glitch and the stutter state from the Hookshot to collect a Magic Jar and then getting grabbed by Like-Like, you can perform GID.
This is great work, thank you for posting this. We confirmed it makes you unable to be crushed by blocks and that you can get GID (along with a couple other things) earlier but I did not know you could stun the like-like with fire arrows. I will credit you in the description. I wanna know more about the nayru's love thing. I can't seem to replicate the same thing on n64, so i'm curious if it's 3d exclusive or if there's something i'm missing. it sounds like it could potentially be pretty useful. could you post a video? you can also add me on discord (my tag is caidren) if you'd like
@@Gameboy_9917 I mainly look for glitches in OoT3D, and I am honored to be credited. Thank you very much. I tried the same method on NSO, but I couldn't replicate it. Although Link isn't thrown out by Like-Like's spit-out after using Nayru's Love, Like-Like still performs the spit-out action. In OoT3D, Like-Like remains in the state of grabbing Link. Instead, I found that if you stun it with the boomerang, the spit-out timer resets. I'll post a video of the OoT3D later. I'm not very familiar with Discord, but I'll add you as a friend later.
@Izuhu this was showcased for the glitchless + ground jump randomizer ruleset which follows the glitchless any% speedrun ruleset and does not consider going out of bounds a glitch.
Max% No C is a challenge where you try to collect as much as possible without pressing the C buttons. So no equipping inventory items, no using them, no navi and no first-person.
All this just to avoid collecting a few items lol. That is impressive. I want to actually see what happens when the gerudo guards catch young link though. Apparently they throw him off the cliff. I want to see it though. Please please please please please
they throw him into the river if you don't have hookshot, throw him into jail if you do. Same as adult The guards aren't there in the child version of gerudo fortress though, only inside the thieves hideout
this was made because i thought it was cool and regardless it still has use in rando and some vanilla situations in any case though this is not a particularly difficult trick. If you do have hookshot or hover boots though, yeah, I'd probably use them. You can get that skull with either or, don't need both
@@Gameboy_9917 It is cool, and I admite all those speedrunning/shortcutting tricks and glitches, and I wish I could pull them off. I'm just the type of guy that is terrble at them and waste more time trying to learn it and execute them perfectly, rather than just completing the game normally
