I like your comedy, but I don’t think this is the channel to tackle this topic. For many reasons, masculinity is in crisis, but this is not a fact society feels they can care about in a nuanced way. And by “can”, I mean “are able to” due to the socially complex and at times dangerous project of moving men into a place where they can feel meaning in their lives again. The can can also mean “are permitted to”, as men face a conundrum of expectations from inside the absurd manosphere AND broader society. It is a complex and explosive issue that could create a lot more destruction than we realise. It’s not funny. At all.
Pick-up artists are idiots. Most women are fellow humans believe it or not. (with the attraction of tits and bums admittedly 24/7....it has something to do with the survival of the species, and why we are not monogomous by nature) If you talk to and treat them like humans, women are very adept at signalling to a male when their interest in you is more than just friends, and they are open to intimate advances. Women are the fairer sex, and hitting on them cold is intimidating and is only going to make you seem like a creep. Making a woman laugh, will earn you brownie points. I have masturbated over this question frequently over the years, and at 64 I am still questioning rigorously. I consider myself to be somewhat of an expert and have the callouses to prove it.

Women have fought (and are fighting) VERY hard to evolve how we define "womanhood", but society hasn't allowed "manhood" to do the same. Women are allowed to work, stay home, or both. If a guy wants to be a stay at home husband, his manhood is questioned. We're increasingly seeing women in STEM, but not encouraging men to enter female dominant careers like humanities, human services, or social services. We're allowing women to be more sexually expressive but if a man is more sexually reserved we wonder what's wrong with him. We show how women can be TOUGH or boyish, but if a man does anything feminine his sexuality is called into question. We perceive men as threats but don't acknowledge how women can ALSO hurt men. Worst of all, women can often be the ones perpetuating this while simultaneously complaining ABOUT men and that needs to be called out. Women will actively mock guys who they don't think are attractive, shame a guy for not making enough money, being short or bald, for expressing their emotions, not being emotionally articulate (a learned skill), for being "feminine," not being good at sports, fixing things, fighting, etc. then wonder why there's a disconnect between men and women and why men are jaded and confused. When you're trying to get into "traditionally male" roles while actively shaming men who don't thrive in them and mocking men who try going into "traditionally female" ones... you're not really leaving them with many places to go. Gender equality SHOULD mean letting men explore too. It can't just be when it benefits you.
This is one reason I'm so against people (usually women) mocking men who are awkward, not attractive to them, or in the redpill. We SHOULD call out toxic behaviors, but the reason why a lot of those men got into destructive places to begin with was BECAUSE they were lonely and didn't know where else to go. All constantly mocking them does is insure they're isolated enough to stay there.
