During my visit to the island, I was surprised to see so many young kids driving carriages. I don’t know much about horses or carriage driving, but I always thought it would require a lot of experience to handle. Given their age, I wonder how much practice a 20-year-old could realistically have? Is driving a carriage easier than it seems from the outside?

⚜At "The Victorians" abode, we see a sign stating: "Private Property, Residents & Invited Guests Only." I have to wonder, was this sign absolutely, necessary? It seems to run contrary to the over-all atmosphere of cheerful welcomeness, and I'm not seeing rambunctious hordes of excess people trampling the gardens anyway.

I just happened to stumble across this video today. What a great video! I have been regularly going to Bois Blanc Island for at least 30 years. I have kayaked to and hiked Round Island more times that I can count.
