How have you being doing since then. Im quite new to the hobby both reading and collecting. Quite overwhelmed with watching a lot of videos where people kind go into dollar bins and pick up keys. I also am having the dilemma of should I just be picking up keys? or should I read first. I read digitally . So should I go about reading digitally and then if I like the series pick out the keys that I like and overtime I will build a wealth of knowledge of which books are keys ? and then will also have the ability to bin dive and find keys ?is that the secret?
This is par for the course in some of these shops. Can’t motivate them with logic, pleasantries, suggestions etc. Some owners built their shops as castles to be king, not to serve the community. As far as the employee… yikes!! eBay sold and done. Gotta just take the L and leave.
What kind of Mylar are those that the books are in? Never seen those before. I recently have become Addicted to EC books stories. They're just the kind of dread infused stories ice been looking for.
That Batman With Robin (the Teen Wonder, no less!) is hot fire. Bronze Age Batman is my favorite era by far. Just the best mixture of stories, action, and character.
@@threesixtycomics A show about a man turning into any animal to investigate and solve crime was the best show of 1983. No one gives it any respect at any Comic-Con.
I love the Marvel and DC treasury books! My introduction to the golden age as a kid. There is a Whitman King Kong movie treasury from 1968 that is the earliest example I have found.
Going to the LCS is really no different than going to the convenience store up the street. Sometimes its smooth sailing, other times you get someone behind the counter who is in a bad mood or otherwise disagreeable. The clerk should treat a regular customer like an old friend.
n143 - First Lee Forester. n184 I would rather see Beast in X-Men movie than Forge. They sorta fill the same role on the team I think. Also, if we get Kitty Pryde, I really hope to see Lockheed with her. On your next afordable video I would do: 145, 161, 162 - best cover IMHO, 205 - art in the style of TMNT , 214, 318, 390, 428, 509, 542 + vol.2 n205, 30, 25, 114, 275
Almost two years at this point, yeah still a great buy. Prices are down across the board since then but these are all still in my personal collection and I have no issue with the fluctuating market. Even without the downfall, I’m pretty sure these are still worth a decent amount more than I paid for them.
