Love your videos Pete. Great detail for someone like me who doesn’t have a lot of time to figure these things on my own. Grandkids keep me hopping so the Readers Digest tutorials are the best. Thanks for your time.
Oh, and thanks for the help, I didn't realize it had updated that way, since I was listening through studio monitors and not computer speakers. Only way to fix it was a new video upload which I've done.
Was looking for a video such as this and this has lots of info so thank you. But why in the world wouldn't you play stuff to highlight some of the things you did?! Just giving you a hard time but thanks again, I'm going to give some of this a try. I attempted to make my own recently and I was just missing "something". Wondering if it's that Mic Preamp that I honestly didn't even know existed in the Helix, thanks!
Thanks. I do have other videos where I play stuff, but wanted this one to be as short and to the point as I could possibly make it. So glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks again for a great patch and video. I just used live with a trio and thought it worked very well for me. I do think I could use some high cut to tame a little piercing high end. If I was going to experiment with this, where would you recommend I do this in this patch? THANK YOU
Thanks for enjoying the video! If I were going to tame the high end in a preset, I go to the parametric EQ first. I MIGHT just use the hi cut, or I might re-purpose the hi band... sweep to find the frequency that bothers my ears (by boosting it a bunch and turning the frequency dial), and once it sounds REALLY bad, instead of boosting at that point, cut... but just a bit. You don't want to get lost in the mix.
Just want to say THANKS! I appreciate you sharing your wisdom and your great IRs. I built a wonderful acoustic preset that sounds great live. Much appreciated!
Hi Peter. Just dowloaded this bundle - loving the difference the IR's make. Im a complete newb to the Stomp but these are a great help. Thanks so much.
I am not a fan of wireless much anyway, and I would need two of them to connect to Helix, since I'm running both electric and acoustic sounds all the time. I have used Sennheiser wireless in the past and it's worked great, but don't use anything for guitar currently. My 15' Lava TRS <-> TS/TS cable is just dandy.
Thanks Peter, I programmed the whole thing without listening (minus the IR). Plugged in and sounded beautiful. For me, I left the modulation off as standard and made some minor tweaks on E/Q, but amazing preset settings. Great job
Great video. Even though you did this for an acoustic guitar I assume the same methodology (boosting the level then sweeping) would work when using an electric guitar, correct?
really for anything, but with electric guitar, if you are using modeling, ALWAYS try adjusting the amp settings and the cabinet settings first if you can.
Amen, dude! Eq'ing my J-200 drives me nuts. I love the guitar. Making it sound sparkly and great through my Helix and line 6 speakers takes more knowledge than I have. Thanks for this video.
the negative comments are from the fellas going 10 under in the left lane. a+ vid, couldn’t have been better, absolute wild to me how many clowns feel the need to leave negative comments on a perfect video. thanks brother!
Hi Peter I purchased these from you today and I have no idea how to get them to work on my helix, I have followed your online directions but it talks about opening them in your favourite DAW, I also tried to download your free IR's and find the one you describe called large body 102 but they not ther. Baring in mind I use Mac not windows. So im a little confused. Please could you advise.
There were instructions on how to install the download into your Helix with HX Edit, which you should follow. They should have come in an email. I DO know you need to be logged into your Line 6 account with HX Edit to use and load them. If you are using Native, you can load these in as well, that's how to use them in your DAW.
@@peterjhamm yea I don’t need them for a DAW as once I have downloaded the helix native and run it. On your instructions it says launch your DAW or plug-in host and insert helix native into a track. Well what I’m wanting is when I launch HX edit I want to put the patch that I purchased from you into that so I can use them on my Helix floor. But even once I install the helix native I don’t see any programme for it I. My applications. So I’m totally confused as to what to do unless I was sent the wrong mail.
Hi, I just purchased your 12 Acoustic Guitar patches from the Line 6 Marketplace. I load all the IRs in the correct positions. I was able to load 6 of the patches but the last 6 gave this error message. "Pod Go Edit was unable to import this preset because it contains unrecognized models." Please advise.
double check to make sure you are using the very latest POD Go firmware... and THANKS! You should be on 1.41 for the POD Go Edit program, and 1.40 for the POD Go firmware.
@@peterjhamm Thank you, Peter when I double-checked it appears my firmware update had failed. After several more attempts, it finally updated and now all your patches are installed and working beautifully. I really appreciate your quick response and I am looking forward to using and enjoying your patches with my music.
Just loaded successfully the 12 Acoustic Guitar patches. Beautifully done! I will certainly benefit from and enjoy fine tuning these to my guitar. As is they're really nice. Thank you Peter. I wasn't sure how difficult it would be moving from an HS Stomp to the Pod Go Wireless and this was a big help.
I just purchased a Pod Go Wireless, tried to download a paid patch that didn't work (won't let me). I'm running Pod Go Edit version 1.40 and the firmware is updated. Had to use an older 2016 Macbook Pro to run the edit software since the new M1 chips don't work. Haven't worked with Rostetta yet. Do you think I'd have any issues installing your patches.
Definitely one of my favourite pieces from your good self. Could you create something similar that would last longer - just to increase the time people have to enjoy your creative gifts?
wow this has been on youtube for 3 years! its just what I've been looking for my Taylor never sounded so good plugged inti my Helix Rack! I paid good $$ buying Helix acoustic guitar presets never sounded this good! thanks Bro!!
Pretty sure most, or maybe all, of these have snapshots. You need to switch display mode on Stomp to access them, like any preset, but they should vibe there. I don't find snapshots that useful with these, but I include them because many do. THANKS, by the way! Are you using these instructions from the manual to get to snapshots? [[From Play view, press PAGE until you see Snapshot footswitch mode]]
@@peterjhamm Thanks- Yes im following the manual. I can access the snapshots on the other presets just not quite a few these. Probably user error though. Ive only had this a few days..thanks
If you are the kind of person who just wants to play his guitar, you can ignore all my explanations. The presets are all made for you, and it's only 15 bucks, and includes all the IR that make them sound great. If you are a snapshot man, they have snapshots, if you are a stomp man, they have those, too.
