Glad to see the ls is still treating you right. When I see it get brought up in other conversations in the Facebook groups I tell people to go contact you It would be very interesting to see drilled soybeans with the Rye. Who cares if you make a couple wheel marks I thought about it in moving to a non-GMO Bean program . And if a guy doesn't take the Rye off the top but utilize the Rye for the weed control so then maybe I could get by with just one herbicide pass to terminate the Rye and then put down some residuals But with the tracks on the combine you'd only make a 30-inch wide Wheel track. Take the Rye off the top let them beans come through. Now you got me daydreaming again

The Rough made videos I personally enjoy the most almost like a livestream lol grain drill would be a good idea and free nitrogen for the Rye, grandfather used to seed clover into standing cereal so he could green feed it in fall Fibre internet is in the ground in our area too but we still use the satelit highspeed for now

Our internet is slow like that too.. as i do everything on my phone, i use the cell internet. Gotta put my phone in the right couple of spots, but 10-20 minute video, takes about 5 minutes.. My son in law bought an LS, partly because of your videos about it. His is a little bigger. Only negative I've heard, one of his guys said the seat isn't very comfortable but then, hes got messed up legs and is usually in a dump truck.

Hi Brad. It's going... Yesterday morning was a Friday morning, turned into a Monday afternoon.. today was a good Saturday morning, turned into a Monday afternoon... But we're doing awesome 😎🤪😜 Looks like things are going well!! 90°.. yes, it's warm, too warm for here too, but it's a whole lot better than the two weeks of 105° we had.. and the countless days of 95°+... It amazes me how so many places can double crop.. about the other way it can happen here, would be crimson, followed by Sudan.. and then it would have to be irritated or wet ground.. Thanks for the update!! Good to see you!!

Seems like the filter and check valve assembly which is now at the bottom of the tank is made out of brass. Magnet would not help you there. Also, blowing air back from the primer bulb to the tank is not advised due to the check valve at the end of the line.

Maybe you can get a longer rear wiper blade and cut one end to make it fit? Yes, that front blade just sitting in the middle of the windshield would be annoying. They need to use a larger blade and move it over to the side like the Tesla cyber truck although I think it looks like shit on the cyber truck but it’s not resting in the middle of the windshield blocking your view When you’re not using it. How you like the tires compared to AG tread? You sell the 4020 yet? I’m looking for something in the 30 to 40 hp range definitely with a cab. Any pointers or tips would be appreciated. Great video thank you.
@larsonvalleyfarm

Longer wiper blades have helped, but still in line of sight. 4020 was sold 2 years ago, and I ended up buying a 4030 a few weeks ago that was on auction

Hello LVF, I know this is an older video but I was wondering how your corn row spacing experiment went? I'm two hours straight east of you and looking to do a lot of the same things you are doing. The difference is I have a clean starting point as I will be purchasing all my equipment and I'm wondering which one to choose. I do custom combining now and have both wide and narrow corn heads like you. I like your ideas of getting cover crops established early as my growing season is actually slightly shorter than yours. I also am thinking that if yields are very similar wider rows would be more efficient in harvesting as you are covering more area per pass with effectively the same amount of steel and weight moving through the field. I don't think weed control would be a problem since the covers would theoretically be there to smother them out. I hope your trial went well
@larsonvalleyfarm
@larsonvalleyfarm 4 месяца назад
I haven't tried any wider row spacing, but I have been planting covers and soybeans between 30 inch rows. Limited light is a factor, however soybeans have been performing well. I am currently trying to buy another corn planter that is wide row, set at 38 but can be set at 40. I think the extra 8 or 10 inches would get even better results. You are correct, weed control these days are pretty easy to combat with all the available herbicides, or row crop cultivators.
@larsonvalleyfarm
@larsonvalleyfarm 4 месяца назад
If you end up trying it, I would love to see how its working for you. Not sure if you plan to make video's or if you are on Facebook or Instagram. But keep me posted, Thanks!

I think the best tractor in the utility 60 horse hydro is the kioti ns 6010. Layed out real nice with good loader height. Only bad is its About 7k more than the ls mt357.
@larsonvalleyfarm
@larsonvalleyfarm 5 месяцев назад
I was considering kioti/bobcat before I bought the LS. Synergy coop and the price are what made up my mind. It's nice getting patronage back! Lol
@Jsuds-kp3cj
@Jsuds-kp3cj 5 месяцев назад
The mt573 has the best wiper design out of any tractor brand I’ve seen, front and rear. I agree the mt3 would be all around solid if the wipers where done like the mt5 and the loader had more lift height. Always a couple little things to improve.
@Jsuds-kp3cj
@Jsuds-kp3cj 5 месяцев назад
What is the top speed in medium range? I m looking to possibly get the mt3 57 for loader work, offset flail mowing my fence lines, raking and tedding hay, moving bales ect. I have the mt5 73. And run a new idea 5209 Discbine and looking to get a 4x5 Vermeer signature baler for it. 1600 hours in two years bought from Ridgeland too. Nice tractors good service. Also how do you think the mt3 will work for loading a lime spreader up nice and full. overall height of the spreader is 72”
@larsonvalleyfarm
@larsonvalleyfarm 5 месяцев назад
Not very fast! But if you run full throttle it seems to be relatively fast in mid range. Especially for loader work.
@larsonvalleyfarm
@larsonvalleyfarm 5 месяцев назад
Loading lime into a 6 foot tall spreader might be a challenge. Middle range isn't very fast, but seems about right for loader work. Moving bales, raking, etc I run in hi unless it's a hilly field.
