My Gammill has thread stuck behind the bobbin winder. The bobbin winder is not moving. How do I get the thread out? I’ve tried looking for videos on this
If you have videos for a beginner and I mean I am newb! Please let me know. I am desperate to learn. The manual for CS7 is terrible. A couple hours of training following the setup of my $45,000 just doesn’t get it. I’m desperate to learn. Are there books I can purchase? I learned so much from you just watching this video.
Oh my goodness Lori thank you I had no idea how to bring the hand up my problem was I couldn’t see what I was doing zooming in and out and I couldn’t get the screen to move
When you add row to the top in the alternating field, sometimes depending on the pattern, you lose your green and red start and stop points. Does the software automatically know where to start and stop without the points showing? I’m using a place two pins pattern. Also does it matter and make a difference what pattern type you use?
this is the best video I have watched and was able to understand. Can I do this on all bench pillows to quilt the background and how do I put these together once they are all done?
Hi, I learned so much from your two Celebrations video's. Any chance you'll do more blocks on RU-vid about this? If you need my email address let me know too! Thanks!
I’m starting the Red White and Bloom quilt. Thank you so much for posting this. This is the only tutorial I can find for quilting before you embroider.
I would like to have access to the other blocks, I know I am not in the class but I will be making this pillow soon and would like to watch all of them and sew along with them. If you need my e-mail let me know. Thanks, Carolyn
Why did you stitch the background fabric tack down prior to trimming the batting? I think your seams will be too thick. I also do not think it is necessary to do the one-inch fold when quilting.
The reason it does a double tack down stitch is to make the stitches stronger when you cut close to the tack down stitches. Many designers do that, me included.
Hello was wonder if you will be doing more videos on kimberbell blocks for Main Street pillow? The ones I have seen have been great. I am new to machine embroidery. Thanks!
Awesome, Jon! Thanks for showing us and I was so happy to find out that there is a small tablet type auto stitch for Gammill instead of a big computer....now I know what to buy!
My needle does not always clear the fabric when I raise it or it is in needle up setting when sewing. The tip drags on the fabric. I have to manually raise the needle. Intermittent but constantly does this so I have to check every time before moving the head.
@@threadsrunthruit9397 Thanks, just when I stop stitching. I have presented this issue to several technicians and they all scratch their heads. Didn't know if it was the needle raising wheel (whatever it's called) that is needing adjusting, or the needle up/down switch should be replaced? It's like it gets fatigued. I think I even took it to Linda's Electric Quilters once and they could not reproduce it!
Is it the machine or the table? Sometimes the table top may rattle as the machine stitches in certain areas or at certain speed. The machine may vibrate more noticeably at different speeds, but if you are experience a noticeable vibration all the time, you may have a repair issue.
Laurie, Thank you for this video. I am beginning quilter, and purchase my first every quilting machine - Statler. I have several questions: 1) when you adjusted your margins, then placed a new patter to audition it, and replaced that with the first choice where you changed the margins to 0.45 - was the changed margin or 045 still intact or do you need to change it again on the setting?; 2) I am quite confused by the "snap" feature. Not certain how you specific where you want the snap to be, and if you need the snap feature off as you are manipulating the exact start of stitching. Could you explain in more detail, or better yet, can you have a video on using the snap feature. Thank you again, Jasmine
The margins should hold even if you choose new patterns. I just tried it and it held. As far as the snap, it is really for you to know that your border will be exactly attached to the previous piece. I try to be as exact as possible when drawing my p2p line so that when I snap the border chunk in, it is pretty exact. It really is just a reference point for you to make sure your border looks continuous. We will try and do a video on snap in the future. Thanks for your questions.
Great question! The margin applies to each side of the border pattern. It is a margin all the way around. So in this demonstration it is .45 on each side.
This is the best video on borders and corners I have ever seen. I hope you continue to show us more tricks and tips on using the Statler and CS 7. Do you baste around the entire quilt before you start your borders or do you baste each side as you roll the quilt?
I baste the entire quilt down including the across the front each time I roll the quilt. Here is a link to a video on how I load a quilt: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Igl2Zi9kE54.html
