Am 73 and got three wheels, V12, V13, and a Sherman S. I learnt 5 years ago on KingSong S16 and upgraded to a V11. Don’t own a car and go everywhere on my wheels. It a lot better then golfing or boating and bring the thrill to life. I ride daily in the past 5 years am sure of over 50,000 miles
Hey Ace. Thank you for your comments. I would like to get a 3rd wheel soon. Something lighter than my Begode Master and faster than my King Song 14 M. Curious where you live as I too would like to eventually have only EUCs as my transportation.
Where do you buy your euc? It looks like a 9bot I saw on Amazon. Can you please place a link in the description where we can buy the euc you learned on?
Hi Stan, sure thing, it is the King Song 14 M, but it looks like it is currently unavailable through Amazon, where I bought it in October last year. This is that link: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B086S9141L/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I looked at the normal vendors, alienrides, euco, ewheels and eevees and it looks like nobody is carrying them right now. I did see the King Song 14D available from euco and ewheels’ websites. I hope this helps.
You are truly inspirational. I took a lesson at Eevvee last year. I gave up on the idea of learning EUC because the entry cost is too high. Few days ago, I picked up a used one for only $300. So my desire for mastering EUC is back. Subscribed to your channel. Keep pumping awesome video. Once I become good, I want to get the mini one Begode MTen4. This kinda of thing is more ideal for short distance travel. Also, it's important to be able to be stable in slow speed when there are other people around.
Thanks for your comments! It is exciting to learn this new skill. I am having a lot of fun as my skills continue to grow. I ride my KS 14M at slow speeds walking the dog. Be ready for a few falls with decent safety gear. Then before you know it you’ll be riding safely and in total control. I also enjoyed a visit to eevees in Vancouver. Unfortunately our Alien Rides store here in Las Vegas closed.
Moto Mert, thanks for this scenic tour of Death Valley National Park. In a few months I expect to be shopping for an EUC ramp. If you like the one shown in this video, it would be great if you would share the brand name and model.
Thanks for the comments Harold! I got the ramp on Amazon. It’s a folding pet ramp I picked up on Amazon for $50.00. They have a few choices. The vendor I used was Sandinrayli. I am happy with it and it works great for the Begode Master
Hey Jeff, thanks for the comment. Enjoy the journey! I started riding EUCs on Halloween last year and I ride everyday when I am home. Be sure to get the safety gear.
Thanks for the comments Greg. That’s hilarious and it was my experience as well. I’m sure you’ve made some good strides since you posted the comment 8 hours ago. Enjoy the journey, it was great to learn a new skill even though it came with a few spills and bruises!
I'm 42 and I've been considering getting one of these but wasn't sure if im too old for it lol After watching this video I'm definitely gonna get one. Any advice on what one is best suited for a beginner thats 13st?
Hey Tony, thanks for the comments. I am happy that I got a KS 14M to learn on. It took quite a beating the first week. On week 2 though I was wanting more speed. I got the Begode Master but I haven’t gone faster than 32 mph on it yet. Also it took over 100 miles of riding to get semi-comfortable riding on streets. So I think if I had it to do again I would go for a middle weight model that can go 20 mph or so for my first EUC. I still may get another wheel as I am not yet able to maneuver the Master as well as I want. I just started some intentional practice to increase my skills on the Master. I do really enjoy mixing it up on long rides between standing and seated riding, so having a seat might be another consideration. As long as you get started I’m sure you’ll enjoy the journey! LMK which wheel you end up getting. Ride safe!
Hi Edwin, thanks for the comments. I know you can do it! Wear the safety gear and take it slow. Just passed 300 miles on The Black Adder and 160 or so on Mr. Bean.
That was really good start. The main tip I have for anyone starting out with EUC is that the key thing is to keep standing on the wheel. It doesn't matter if you got zero control over the direction as long as you manage to stand on it for a while. Learning to ride is all about clocking enough time on the wheel until your reflexes learn what to do to keep the balance. I don't think a grassy field is that great as it is harder then flat ground. The best place would be an indoors corridor where you can touch a wall on either side if you need it. Wobbling is also not a problem and if anything so is it important to not try and drive straight as it's not about learning to drive straight, but teaching the body how to recover when unbalancing in a direction.
Hey Greenwave. Thanks for your comments! I did choose the Begode Master and I have really been enjoying it. At first it was a lot of work and I thought maybe I should have got a lighter second wheel, but I am much more comfortable with it now with almost 300 miles on it. Later today I am going to try to gain backward riding skills on it. I can ride backward easily on my KS M14, but not there yet on the Master.
Just saw your video where you're learning to ride. I was curious to see what wheel you upgraded too. Master is a very nice choice. It is still very high on my list for my next EUC if I decide to get another anytime soon!
My dood, you were really doing it! You've got pretty good balance to pick it up so easily. I do remember how much my legs hurt in the early days of learning to ride. Also, I used to live in Vegas and have to say that is certainly a good city/climate for EUC.
Thanks for the comment! I put the drone into the POI mode or trace mode usually. My problem is I don’t trust the drone enough yet to stay on yrack so I frequently look down at my controller! Working on doing that less. The shots of the drone going backward filming me are harder to control as there is no automatic mode for that.
I just bought a T4 for my61 birthday today just now was the first time I really rode it. I'm doing laps in Parking lot learning to turn right and left. It's harder for me to turn right
You guys are so brave, some of my friends who are 40 years old ,just afraid of it.I need some friends just like you❤ keep going, will be much easier every day.Hi from Turkey Antalya🙋🏻♂️
Thanks for the comment. That’s awesome! Would enjoy hearing how your journey goes. I do recommend having all the safety gear on day one. That would have saved me some bruises!
You're going to need hand reflectors. Practicaly 0 visibilty when you're indicating turns, especially at night in the video. Good video though, thanks.
I get out of work at 12am so quite a few of my rides are at night. I also enjoy the lack of cars at 1-3 am HAHA. Look into the Guardian Angel lights. The mini is about 60$ and the large one is 120$. A bit $$$ for lights but they are designed for police/fire/rescue personal. Very bright , many modes , and rechargeable. I also carry a flashlight to see the edges of the dark roads and farther up roads I dont know like the back of my hand. Potholes sneak up on you at speeds greater than 20mph.
also Shred lights you can attach to the underside of your pedals on the Master (Black Adder) You have plenty of pedal clearance on that wheel so no worries of scrapping then in a sharp turn. They are also about 60$ each and on my to buy list.
The only thing i do not like about the 14 is the low speed. When you start feeling good on the 14 and are riding at the top speed you dont have any overhead power in reserve and thats when you get cut outs
Right you are. During my second week on the KS 14M I knew I needed a faster wheel. Though I do still enjoy the KS 14 for short rides and taking my dog to the park.
I don't understand why people sit on these things. It seems like a horrible position all scrunched up. Kind of like getting a really nice surfboard and then riding a wave while sitting on your board. Stand up and ride that thing! Or get a scooter then....
