Very nice break. My high break in competitive play is 123 so far from the top rank but please see some constructive observations below in the spirit of improving play for enjoyment. 1. Your white travels a longer distance than necessary. On a number of occasions you finish high just off straight on the black so you have to hit the white with heavy top spin and the white travels further than needed where things can go wrong of course. Less white travel would result from finishing “low on the black just off straight” so you can “stun up”. Practice potting reds and finishing just low on the black. 2. Your left forearm is near straight which is Joe Davis-like whereas modern players have a noticeable bend in the left forearm (for a right-handed player of course) so greater follow through is achieved. Similarly, many modern players have the bridge hand a little closer to the cue ball and shorter compact swings. You have a beautiful pause on the back swing. 3. Avoid showing any emotions whatsoever whatever happens good, bad or indifferent. Displays of annoyance deflate the player and embolden the opponent. Beware the opponent 4 nil down but still unperturbed. 4. You, like all of us, like to hit the ball harder. Sometimes this is unavoidable but the tariff on straight cueing goes up when powering balls in. Like point 1 above, try to reduce the distance the white travels using stun shots where the white travels little and finish high on a red, low on the black and do not finish straight or high just off straight. 5. Brush and iron the table and keep covered to avoid dust and light damaging the cloth overtime. Personally, if funds permit, I would have that beautiful room blacked out from ambient light with blinds over the windows preventing all light entering and invest in the new LED overhead lights above the table. Enjoy my friend and snooker is a wonderful game and extremely humbling which is a good thing.
Hallo Kristof...vind je het erg als ikzelf filmpjes post met mijn prestaties....de titel trekt er een beetje op Bvb Summer Challenge 2024 voor 70 plussers
lol, yeah, I wanted to be a bit lower on the black. Now it was dead straight and wanted to screw back a bit too much:). Still happy though with the achievement.
