Well... as long as gay marriage is overly stigmatized or even completely illegal and most women in hetero-normative relationships are getting abused by their husbands in all kinds of ways with no better alternatives than to tolerate abuse from their families of origin, it really seems like a lavender marriage is an improvement for both gay people and traumatized people who just want to experience some autonomy and safety in their lives. The risk-benefit analysis is still more positive for a woman who only might get cheated in a lavender arrangement by a partner of her own choosing, compared to the inevitable misery of a definitely abusive straight man in an arranged marriage or being abused by her family for defying or leaving the marriage. At least she has a chance to avoid some amount of abuse, she would otherwise be subjected to for certain. For a gay man, there aren't even any downsides to consider if he has to live in a society where he's not allowed to marry anyone of his real partners or even be open about his preferences in public at all. A lavender marriage seems like a pretty good deal for many people in oppressive societies and the only way to really resolve this issue, is to create better alternatives for everyone until that arrangement becomes obsolete. That would mean gay marriage would have to be legal and parental and spousal abuse would have to be illegal and effectively prosecuted. Women would have to be respected as individuals and able to feel safe in public to function by themselves without being threatened or coerced into unjust situations... Until then, the lavender marriage is demonized for no logical reason, since the alternatives are even worse. Fix homophobia, misogyny and classism in your country and nobody will have to be desperate enough to come up with solutions like a lavender marriage.

As pointed by you, Ma'am, Listing in Supreme court is problematic. It is unpredictable, uncertain and confusing. Registry guves tentative dates which are always changing. Forget litigants, Advocates have to recruit persons to keep records of endlessly changing dates.
