Bob Dylan played the early set this day at Shoreline. Van Morrison followed with his excellent band and midway through asked "Do we have any Dylan heads left?" and then delivered a sublime version of "Just Like a Woman" - 'twas quite a day at 'the dump'
Absolutely sour apples. Bob wouldn't end it.. kept it roaring back and back again for about 3 minutes after it seemed he'd nearly brought it home.. to being within just a couple more notes of the BIG FINISH. Dylan and the boys JAMMIN' IT their way to what'd be called.. in a different place.. A RACING RARITY. Obviously five believers here.. Jackson. Baxter. Watson. Tony and Bob. This was graduation day. Wish I'd have been there. Nothing like finding a treasure chest with some great shit still in it.
The lush musical arrangements during that tour were just marvelous, and greatly enhanced by the backup singers. "Is Your Love in Vain?" is a gorgeous song.
This music makes me remember 2012 in Brazilian show . Nobody was recognizing the version when I shout the chorus and Mr. Zymmi , turned to look me reaffirming the tune... It was formidable ! Thanks for post Irenehilda
