This is a lie. It is FALSE. Catholic means universal. The Universal Church. Please learn about what the early church fathers taught. This means who the apostles taught and the churches the apostles were talking to in the Bible. Learn how you have a Bible. It did not fall down out of the sky. My sister is a lay person in the united methodist church. she has a lot of HATE for her flesh and blood family and lets them saids it strait out.dose not stand for any one who makes mistakes. when our mom went to Heaven our dad let us get what we wanted my sister the lay person took her TV I got her Betty boop phone my sister got mad she wanted that too so to hurt she told me I did not care about my dying all I cared about was what I could get so I felt our mom could not take it with her so I gave it to her thinking she would say thank you NO she said you should not of took it in the first place.we live in Arkansas where you need a car I dont have one but she dose we live in our dads house there are days I will go with out food in the house she told me I am your sister not your mom I dont have to care if you have food I am not methodist and if this is what a lay person I am sorry but I do not think the methodist church is of God she has too much Hate in her heart And when the pastor can not make it to church on Sunday he calls my sister and she will give the sermon for him I can not find in the Bible that it is ok to hate family or get even in other words abuse them is this really the teaching of the methodist church

Thank you for sharing your ministry. This is a great model of ministry, that we also do here in Pampanga Philippines. First we serve people, by cleaning their community, and plant trees and flowers. Then, we share coffee and bread to those working early, lined up while waiting for public transfortations. With these little acts of kindness, people begun to notice the church. Not as a place of religious activities, but as an avenue of God’s love.

What if the couple circumvented the appointed pastor in the UMC and invited someone else to preside what can or should be done? What if the person asked to preside is not clergy but certificated by the internet?

I’m going to a wonderful Methodist church for the last few years now. My Pastor explained why they baptized infants to me also and I’m more convinced than ever your reading into the text. In this the UMC, is mistaken. Matthew 19: 3-9 makes it clear that Jesus subscribed to the Jewish custom and tradition of marriage. He recites that it was instituted by God. He even explains why Moses allowed for divorce, and Jesus Himself imposes a penalty for those who divorce improperly. To say that marriage isn’t a sacrament because Jesus didn’t institute it flies in the face, not only of common sense, but of logic as well. It has the UMC elevating the authority of Jesus above the authority of God the Father. And that is a position never taken or assumed by Jesus. It’s absurd.

I got baptized 10 years ago as a middle school teenager. I don't remember the pastor or the church giving me my baptism certificate. How can I get it??
Hell was not an actual place but a place within a person who is suffering within. Jesus spoke in metaphorical terms only about everything and was not a man of confusion.
