So awesome!! You guys did great! Can't wait to start my project. Looks like we have similar motors and row boats. Excited to see that the combination works good! She freaking rips bud!
Wish my best friend was still alive to have fun times like this and Build things like this together. Man I miss you so much every day. You left this world to early . Wish you could see what I’ve done with my life and see my kids . Tomorrow it will be 26 years since you left me and it still feels like it was yesterday.
Awesome dude. I built my boat and it doesn't look as good as mate's bought one but when you tell people that you built your own the credit you get back is worth the imperfect welds.
I see people doing these swaps and have been curious about doing one myself. One question I ask is why don’t people weld in a new intake and motor mounts vs attaching the cut up jet ski hull and putting it into the boat. I feel it’s much harder is it not?
Not a good idea to delete oil injection on these. they will run way too rich at idle and foul out plugs like nobodys business. also wont get proper oiling through the rev range. just adjust the oiler to the marks. These oiling systems arent known to fail really ever.
Good to know just starting one. I know on the old classic 50 Mercury outboard you are better off ditching the oil injection, but get what you're saying.
Yeah you’re right. Looked these up and they have a solid pump. I fixed the return spring and now I believe it is just the carb that needs to be cleaned
RST FORK USERS: Quick little side note. I got my RST fork to work great! its definitely a better option than the socket or cutting anything but I had a X fusion dual crown where the stanchions are scrapped up so i took the spring out which happened to be the FIRM xfusion RV1 200 mm blue spring and replaced it with the stock RST spring that was much smaller and much softer! which made the RST forks feel amazing after i adding fork oil! Firm 200mm spring and fork oil with change the fork a 1000x save money on buying the fork!
I put the same Spring in was I supposed to cut it at all or move the spacer a spacer I just put it in and put the top back on... I haven't written it really yet so I just want to make sure it's right before I do
Which fork did you get? There are at least 3 diferent forks that come stock on the surron... In Aus we mostly get Fastace which are pretty decent. USA I see DNM and FST which are less great. The DNM looks to perform a little better of the two.
