Probably a little late to the party, but you probaly want to add a way to compress the cells' sides together so that they don't swell. Even just wrapping them with some glass-fiber packing/strapping tape will help.
Can i kindly ask where did you manage to sort out the programing step ? .... i've been trying with no luck so far , any help would be much appreciated Thank you
Absolutely brilliant video, I've yet to see the other part but I'm very impressed . I do wonder where you got hold of that kit was it a Mercedes part ? And do you have the part number?number
I would advise wrapping your metal tools in insulation tape before attempting this, also, using a wratchet and socket (also wrapped in insulation tape) would likely be safer.
Hi, is 4 mounting points Strong enough To support the bed ? Or do you later add support to the bed from underneath? Also, how do you mount the cross beams on the L beams? Thanks in advance. Looks great!
Great video Adam we love the look of a raptord van, what’s life like now with it two years on? Has it lasted well, Any issues? Thinking of doing our VW this year the same 🤘
Hi, thanks for you comment and for watching, It has been great, easy to clean, just wash it with warm soapy water and a brush and it looks as good as new, No problems with it and I would defiantly do it again, Hope that helps and good luck with your project👍cheers
Hi, yes you can pull upto 200A but I wouldn't as this is maxing out the BMS, if you think you are going to run 200A on a regular basis then I would add a 3rd battery to the system, as far as information about it there is lots on the internet, for me my goto place is the Victron site and victron forums, hope this helps and thanks for watching.
What about mixing batteries with different size BMS. I have a store bought 200ah LIFEPO4 battery which has a 100A BMS but I want to add an additional 200ah battery, one which I would build. Can I use a 120A BMS or should I find a comparable unit? Right now for my current uses, I’m lucky if I’m pulling more than 10-20 amps at any one time.
Can you connect this directly to the alternator for charging or do you need a charger in the middle? Also got solar mppt and running an inverter.. I just need to know whether it's a direct replacement for lead acid or do I need to modify the system? Thank you, great video:)
Hi, you defiantly need a charge controller that is designed to charge lithium batteries, you can't use a standard charger on these batteries, hope this helps and thanks for watching.
Just yesterday I got a wonderful complement from an older lady regarding my metalflake Emerald Green Raptor-lined '02 Vitara Cabriolet. She said that she really loved the color and texture. I finished the job two and a half years ago, and it looks as good as the day it was done. A year ago I covered the Raptor liner with Cerakote ceramic finish, and the water still beads up. Highly recommended!
😀that's great, its lovely to hear about other people using raptor on there vehicles, Ive had so many comments on mine from all the shows I go to, I love it, Best of luck and thanks for the comment👍
Hello, the video is very good, it is very helpful, I wanted to know if just installing the cruise control would work, I have a sprinter w906 from 2009 and I wanted to buy the whole part in bay, once again thank you very much for sharing this video.
Absolutely correct but I wanted to have 4 separate packs as I can just unplug them and take them to be charge separately, also if I only had 1 BMS and it fails my whole system goes down, Thanks for the comment and watching my videos, Cheers Adam👍
Hi Adam, I found your channel now after I realised it’s not ‘ the Engineer! Lol. (The beer was good on the Friday) Take care, I’ve subscribed now. Steve at the Overlanders Show
Hi Ross thank for watching my videos The cruise control kit was bought from eBay, the seller was xlshop2008, not sure if he still does them but worth asking, I love having cruise control on my van, it works well, hope this helps cheers👍
Just an fyi, this type of item typically belongs inside the engine bay and you'll only need to run one wire into the cab for the panel. Much of the materials used are non corrosive and shouldn't have any issues with that.
Hi Im not sure what compressor it was but I was told it was a small one, you don't need a lot of pressure to spray raptor, Cheers and thanks for watching👍
Hi Aron, thanks for your comment, there was a small amount of overspray on the floor but nothing on any other surfaces, really good stuff to spray with, hope that helps.
Hi Adam, great video! Just so I understand do you buy tint and another product for the paint? or just 22L of the tint from buzzweld and then that's what is sprayed onto the van?
Hi Ben, Thanks for you comment, The 22L is Raptor that comes without any colour, you then add the colour tint to the raptor and then spray it on, Hope that helps mate.
