If I have to be honest, I never was into science-fiction, I dont much like Star Wars, Star Trek etc... but the Mass Effect trilogy touched my soul. When I finished it, with all DLC I felt like I lost a good friend. It teached me that sometimes we cannot really control our destiny, no matter how hard we try. Shit is getting scary when think about Reapers, Harbinger, the harvest and indoctrination.... and in the meantime, in 2020s, the past few years technology and AI getting dangerously advenced, and they injected billions of people with some conteo carbon-based semiconductor shit while installing 5G system all over the planet...? But still, I have my fatih: '...Legion, the answer to your question was "Yes." 'I know Tali, but thank you. Keelah se'lai.'
I beat Mass Effect 3 (legendary edition) with the happy ending mod, this song in the credits after everything you went through makes me cry. Take that as you will
anyone ever wonder what would happen if an open world type of online game was made centered around the Mass effect games starting off as civi joining the military with the back ground choices being similar to the trilogy but with more choice like being a spacer and colony kid, hero and sole survivor type of back ground whether it is based in Andromeda or the milky way will decide the server u will be on of course u could change serves but at a cost of either money or time pay for it or wait 6 days ( 1 day = 100 years ) those with a milky way account get to keep the ship they had there ---- Milky way servers can be considered the easy to normal servers while Andromeda can be the normal to hard servers any server outside of those 2 servers can be nightmare while the dark space in between them can be Hell
It would be great, but there would be a big problem: this game is all about hard choices which gives rise to all sort of different paths, while a movie/serial would require to narrow the path. It would be the story of the movie, not our story, which is different for all of us.
Shepherd couldn't have had any other ending. His legacy was too great, his heroics beyond legendary and his absolute dominance in leadership. It would have only made sense to make him a galactic emperor or something of the sort, and not one species would have argued. He would have become a Messiah in the mass effect universe. Albeit unwillingly. By his sacrifice he became a part of all living things spreading that same personality throughout. Not just one person but a galaxy of Sheppard. Fitting.
