Sycamore Cleaning & Clearance is a husband & wife partnership that was established in 2009, by Steven & Clair. We`re based in Norwich, Norfolk, UK. We have a passion for houses clearances, cleaning, organising & helping others. We love to recycle & resell items we inherit from our clearances services rather than sending them to landfill.
We use our knowledge of selling these items to then re-buy and re-sell!
Our items are sold online via a range of market places - Such as Auctions, Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Facebook, Gumtree & Vinted. We also donate inherited items to local charity shops & other charity events, such as "Teenage Cancer Trust".
Both of us take great pride in our family business!

Thanks for your comment and watching the video! We really do appreciate it!! Honestly, the number of books we had to throw away was heartbreaking. We had to throw tonnes of mouldy books into paper recycling banks. However, we have managed to save 1000s of books from going to landfill. Unfortunately far to many house clearance business would have considered it more profitable to throw it away and get the next job! By us saving and reselling those books on we have or will easily triple this jobs profit margins and any unwanted books go straight to our local shopping centre to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust - So far, we've helped raise over £7000! Its a win for the environment, a win for charity, a win for the previous owner, a win for the new owners and of course a win for us! May I ask what you collect in a bit more detail? It's may be a "Common Place book/scrapbook kept by Maria Byng. The date 1832 is after Byron's death in 1824. There's references to transcriptions on monuments too. The notes on people may have been made by the folks themselves - a form of guestbook or personal notes for later. The handwriting isn't Lord Byron's - which can be seen here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byron%27s_letters. The poems are likely copied from a book (maybe from a library) for future reference or for reading whilst travelling. The letters may be drafts for letters that were later sent. The notes may be of historical value, but I doubt that it is a lost notebook of the 6th Lord Byron.

Hiya. Really appreciate the Sub 🙏 To answer your question... I ended up sending 5 boxes in total to the UK GSP Center. They were shipped by ParcelForce under 1 consignment or 1 tracking number. By sending in (5 boxes) in 1 consignment ParcelForce will deliver all parcels to Ebay GSP in one drop-off making it easier for Ebay to deliver all of them together... BUT! All has not turned out as it should :( Just been on to Ebay support AGAIN only 20 mins ago as this customer only received 4 boxes!!! The customer has now put a 2nd claim into Ebay over a matter of weeks!!! Stressful would be an understatement 😫 I may do a video tomorrow abt it... Yes thats correct! Wish we'd added that service sooner than we did. Its thoroughly enjoyable finding items, researching, recycling and reselling them so they get another chance of life! Hey there. So when you try to repay you can see that the minimum is 10 pounds. So try paying 10 pounds and see what happens? I am in the same boat, support is useless but I have no option of repaying the balance under my account
Sorry to hear your issue! I realised sometime later that it may have been down to me locking my payment card. If Amazon attempts to take payment a number of times and fails (possibly due to my locked card) Amazon will no longer attempt to take that card/payment.... The only solution I found was to let sales go through which eventually covered the balance. Its been a complete pain in the backside. And yes Amazon are useless. I'm having more luck selling on Ebay TBH and falling slowly out.of love for Amazon.... I'm still there mind you 😕

Found this whilst searching on house clearances. I've been in waste for 13 years in different fields with 4 within the Anaerobic Digestion industry. Food waste is highly lucrative! Anyway, was wondering if house clearances do pay dividends once set up? How do you go about finding the work? Do you use 'brokerage' services like compare my move etc? Plenty of questions I'd like to ask, perhaps you could do a live q/a session? Thanks
Hi. Thanks for the comment! Very interested reading what you do... We accidentally fell into house clearance. We started off as a cleaning company. However we got asked to remove items left by previous homeowners or tenants more and more, which gave us the idea of clearance. Most of our work comes via our website which I created over the past 14 years. Its locally keyword targeted which is another home educated skill I've learnt. House clearance in my option does pay dividends. Purely because cleaning is hard repetitive work. We good at our job! However if you are the type of person that enjoys rummaging around, funding old relics etc... Then you will love house clearance! Obviously house clearance can be hard, heavy work. It can get less busy in winter. But generally keeps you busy Spring - Autumn. We have a long wheel base Citreon Relay. It would be nice to get a Luton style with tail lift as we get older?! I could go on.... and on :) If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to ask! I Q&A is a great suggestion..
