Of course he says he discovered it himself. It's all part of the marketing! He figures he has more legitimate claim to some profit if he says it is his. Whether he found it independently or not, he will never say "here is a repackaged effect dating back to 1864 & before. You'll find 95% of "new" magic is rehashed from existing effects but many people will claim to be the "creator". However, this fits in with 95% of magicians/magic dealers. They are naturally liars, cheats, & rip off merchants.
i agree with you, but from what it says in the ellusionist video he discovered this himself as did some other magician.. i'm not sure wether he was aware tho that houchin had also discovered this.
Agreed. But the deceit was that Houchin was the creator when he simply repackaged it. It was in a 1967 magic book as "The blood writing test"... the exact same effect.
@happothevampire The description is in English while I'm speaking in Hebrew because RU-vid is more English friendly than Hebrew friendly. Also, most people search videos in English so there is a better chance people seeing that video while written in English. Pink Floyd is the name of that specific effect, created and named by magician Michael Close. The symbol on my shirt is the symbol of my high school, the yellow color is the color of our basketball team, this is a shirt from a game.

First, I bet you are mistaken. Second, I think that if you are watching the video in order to understand the "trick", then you are missing the whole point. Magic is not about the trick, it's about the experience.
