I wish they'd repeat this documentary as I lost my recording of it many years ago & it's rare living in the UK that they'll repeat this documentary which was from the Discovery Channel (i think) but I'm sure it was on one of the BBC Channels as I don't have Sky or any satellite providers... I rarely watch my Tv but when I do it's usually about marine biology/playing & recording music/martial arts & many other subjects that are mostly all covered under the tag of Documentarys... I always wanted to cage dive with great white sharks in particular way before it became the in thing to do & which now generates a healthy business for those who provide cage diving experiences & for me it all started at first in the dark in 1975, then the screen lit up with the title for the movie Jaws on the screen... Ever since my dad took me to see Jaws as an 8 year old kid on it's release in 1975 I've been mesmerized by the ocean & in that cinema that night I think I was about one of the few that wasnt terrified & didn't scream as I was & i still am fascinated with all things in the deep blue sea... Today the Great White is on the Protected Endangered Species list yet they are still hunted like many marine lifeforms to point of one day becoming extinct & Peter Benchley eventually knew & regretted that with every positive there's a negative as Jaws was a multi smash hit worldwide as a Book for him & of course Steven Spielbergs movie version of the novel, which is quite different in the book in certain key areas... Jaws went on to become & still is the benchmark movie that puts the fear of god into anyone who's seen it & the whole world's perception of going into the oceans water changed overnight as the idea of going for a quick swim has never been the same since... But I believe over time this movie has many given us many more positives than negatives, as more people than ever every day/week/month or year become fascinated with the ocean & what lives there, after watching Jaws or other movies based in & around our world's oceans... I think Jaws is one of those rare moments when the fascination of all things living in the ocean overcame our very fear of what dwells there within ... We may still rightly fear certain things in the ocean but now we want to learn more about them than kill them.... The positives thankfully from Peter Benchley side & many other tireless campaigners on behalf of all sea life have balanced out the negatives, as Peter & his Wife spent the remainder of Peters life anyway, changing this image of a rogue man eating great white shark... To this very day we still no more about what's in Outer Space than what we know in Inner Space as in the sea... There are many great wonders to find in our own planet than in space & research has shown time & time again that researching wildlife in all its forms can help us with cures for many life threatening illness without harm to that particular animal/fish/trees & plants et al... Look at old to more modern medicines which is used to help humans & animals alike, as all most of them are plant based materials & ingredients that are shaped into a medicine to help human beings & all the lifeforms that inhabit this planet when we get they get injured or become sick & at time gravely ill... Look at Snake Venom & how scientist are using Neurotoxins, for instance, that could be used to treat some brain injuries, strokes, or Alzheimer's disease!... Everything on this planet is here to balance everything else out except human beings as history has shown more often than not that our capacity for destruction hasn't waned rather than cure & unless we keep that healthy balance of all things living on this planet, we are basically writing our own death certificates... It's not the the dark ages any more & it's time we treated this planet & all of its fascinating lifeforms with respect & due care or we may go the way of many extinct species in the past... Enjoy....

I love shark man! I wish they would give him a series. He's so passionate about sharks, all varieties and is willing to risk his life to prove they're not the monsters jaws depicts

This guy is great. His last video showed him diving with a female that actually interractions with him in such a way that was very obviously friendly & comfortable. She sought out this interaction & it was very evident in the video. This is the first time I have seen this or haven't objected to people diving outside of cages with great White's. Mike's attitude is unique & the best I've seen among those who do this activity. He has the best reason for diving with the sharks & the best attitude while doing so. His motives don't appear to be in any way egotistical but, based solely on his curiosity & pure enjoyment of learning the details about them, while interacting with the sharks as individuals & as a species. He's an impressive man & does this activity in a highly responsible manner, if this type of activity can be considered responsible at all. His goal appears to be an altruistic one & shows success to this point. His experience & knowledge gained about these animals during many years of spending time in the water in their presence gives him an edge others who wouldn't have the same level of responsibility or safety in the same circumstance so, in his case there is likely a certain level of responsibility that can be associated with the activity specifically he does while diving with Great Whites. I, for one, wish him continued luck & success with his dives with Great Whites. He may go far in revealing a side to them people rarely have an opportunity to see & understand that may illicit added support for them & all other sharks in desperate need of saving.

They are kind of like bears when I think about it. You don't want to look like a scared food item otherwise you will be put into that category a lot quicker. The special trick with sharks, is manipulating them. Problem is to do this you have to be a master of keeping your cool. They Feel your heart pulsating, show fear, they will think your food. Remain calm and do the expanding like he is showing and they will take caution.
