Hey, I'm Deontae AKA Doc Friday 97. On this channel You are going to see a variety of games new and old, i mainly focus on Wrestling games as a whole and Call Of Duty
Great video! I have quite alot of the cut songs from Def Jam FFNY on my YT Channel if you guys wanna check out the "In-Game" versions, i have most of them including the actual songs as a playlist on my playlist tab. Thank you for giving Def Jam more attention!
Evan tho i enjoy all these games i will say this tho if we where ranking these games by the roster the Original svr would be dead last cause that game has one of the worst rosters 2nd to that would be svr 2008 those games had too many missing wrestlers that should have been in those games
I thinks it's because around this time video games where focusing so much on realism this game is an example of that by making it a slow & realistic fight night knockoff instead of the fast fun arcadey style of Vendetta & FFNY obviously i cant stand this game because of how it killed the series
Official canon: DMX hired people to set off Roman candles for his entrance but they forgot to use them all before everyone but two bailed once he hit the ring…. So those guys just kept em coming
If it wasn't called DefJam Icon and called Rap Icon or Rap Mogul or something like that I think it would have been better received. I don't think it would have got better scores, but I think It would have been easier to forgive its flaws.
@@somekindarobot I've said that for years, if it didn't follow up on FFNY (which was hard enough even in 2007) I may have been less hated as a def jam game
@@Docfriday97 Maven and Luther Reigns should've been in SvR 06 alongside Victoria imo because I love that game but it would've been perfect if Victoria was in the game
Platinum was the TRUE villain of Defjam Icon. Anyone else noticed how quickly she switched to Wheatley IMMEDIATELY once Troy and the protagonist were both shot and left for dead? ?? Bitch was playing dumb when she was playing everybody the entire time.
@@ROCBOI-wr3uh it's had a resurgence in the past couple years of people saying it's not that bad, it's kinda like saints row 3 and 4 it's got its haters and supporters, thanks for watching
@@lucasgoncalves9281 yeah, I give them credit for trying something new and I like what's we ended up getting but I feel it could have been slightly better if delayed
@@lucasgoncalves9281 sadly it did, I don't think ea CHICAGO is the blame however, I believe the director was kinda the blame he tired to make it similar to fight night in a way
Certainly agree that he might not be the most technical or the strongest but you know when he jump strides out the crowd is going to pop and be entertained, well except Victory Roadbut everyone knows about that and its water under the bridge
@@Docfriday97 I noticed, and I agree it's a moment, like his DUI's. Those moments haven't and probably won't make me lose respect for his abilities and willingness to put his self at risk for our entertainment. I'm sure if I did half the stuff he's done I'd be on stuff too
I was finding fighting games for ps2 and all that I find was the classic and same games of all the time, Tekken, MK, WWE series etc, and I find this K-1 and was too good to see a game with real techniques and very difficult who makes entertaining to play, good video
I prefeer so much this kick boxing games like this or k1 2005 gran prix they are better than ifc 3 and ufc 4 games..those ufc games you have to worrie about stamina bullshit and doesnt bolck low punches or low kicjs this may dont have better graphics but its so much fun to play .
if they wouldve dumbed the graphics down a bit but still next gen , they wouldve had room for blazing and a better fighting system and a good UI but clearly they were going for graphics only which are amazing for ps3 and 360 era still holds up i dont know how they pumped icon graphics out of that generation
Well done on hitting the 1000 milestone. When I was 12 I was so excited for SVR the first one, I woke up at 5 on the morning to play it. I haven’t had that feeling about a game since.
