Robinson and the boys take a Garcia classic and embellish with original riffs by every instrument and musician. I love the under stated but effective keyboards. The guitar cover is brilliant as is Chris’s vocal rendition. Our band has been studying Black Crow material from Oh Sweet Nothing to recent offerings. This is my first time having heard this cover and it is humbling how real musicianship can take someone else’s classic material and produce their own classic with it.
gotta say i didn't care for him after awhile with the crowes, esp given his ouster of m f'n ford from the band. but this is something else, downright cozmic version. now can't deny he's great
One of my most favorite Chris bands of all time, his music means everything to me, have mercy baby. There’s just not much real music out there and I’m starting to think I might be dying. I get to see Circles around the sun twice in March and then JJ Grey twice. New Crowes tour, was so freaking excited, but nothing around here 😭
I keep coming back to this incredible performance - every single part is performed at such feel and skill. And the lead guitarist is just awesome. Love it!
