A while back I asked the park ranger when I checked into a park and they said I could open or concealed carry but didn’t say anything about rifles. Would make a clip about carrying around schools? Can you be on the school grounds but not in a building or in a car? Can you walk down the sidewalk in front of the school? Can you walk up to the front door to get your daughter? Thanks.
I have a video that I took off the shelf. I can put it back, it's straight educational. We are going to try and make it again, a bit more entertaining as it's very technical and kinda boring to people who are not exactly interested in that. Poor performing vids are hurting my channel. I can put it back, but, I would like to make it again if you can wait. Let me know.
Came across your channel a couple days ago. Dang, I got me some awesome friends at RGV area, specially from San Benito. looking forward to visiting your store. Im from the gateway city up north 83. 🤙🤙🤙
They only allow open carry of handguns. Federally, I believe it is classified as a "firearm". Not a handgun or a long gun. Under Texas laws the definition of a handgun is a firearm that is designed to be shot with the use of one hand. So that might be allowed. I can't tell you for certain, but, a park LEO may talk to you about it if they saw you. I personally do not think you would get in trouble though. This is not legal advice.
You can keep it in your car, cabin, RV, tent. They don't want the long arm out in public view. They will only allow firearms in public view if it's a handgun in a holster. There are exceptions like when on a sanctioned hunt.
I lived at the International Boundary and Water Commission Federal Government Residential Compound next to Falcon State Park for 18 years. The fishing at Falcon Lake was amazing. I used to bring home at least 30 White Bass daily, especially in summer. A couple of years ago, a guy caught a 13 ft alligator gar at the park. It weighed over 300 lbs. It set the state record.
I would have liked to have done a little more fishing there, unfortunately I was not able too. The fishing is still supposed to be good. I would have liked to fish the other side of the dam though. Did you ever get to fish there?
@@PrimalDefenseCo I went to a campaign meeting this morning and spoke to Texas State Representative, 57th, Richards Hayes. He is receptive to the idea of reducing the penalties for 30.06 and 30.07 violations. You should contact your State Representatives.
Good advice, but here in tx, cops get bend out of shape if they see u with a firearm! And when this happens, SAY GOODBYE TO UR RIGHTS! And welcome to a police state! In their world u are nothing!!! In the police state, the police control the currents of the oceans, the winds in the four corners of the earth, and in the police state, ur life is worth less than the cost of a bullet! I have had friends tell me because of some cops, that they would rather be judged by 12 than be carried by 6!
@@Mr.AllAlone technically no. There is a requirement to show them your LTC if you have one and a handgun in you at the time of the stop. Here is our video with more info on that: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SaiWFn1UUSI.html
In a holster, in the back pocket behind the passenger seat, completely covered but within easy reach of the driver. Concealed ✅ Accessible ✅ Secure ✅ But it needs to leave the car when you do.
You don't need a license to carry. It's our right to carry. People think they need to follow what the corporation says to do but never listen to them, as we are free to do as we please.
your a law enforcement officer and giving out incorrect info, thats embarrassing. If your in a vehicle, a handgun must be concealed. A shotgun and rifle does not need to be concealed but should not be prominently displayed
@@ericktarango4138 please, cite the law here. You will not find any law that says different. I'll even give you a hand on where to look. Texas Penal Code 46.02.
Under Texas Penal Code 30.05, It is a defense to the prosecution that the basis on which entry on the property was forbidden is that entry with a handgun was forbidden and the person possessed a license to carry a handgun and the firearm they were carrying was a handgun. So technically, yes.
Texas law removed the requirement for a license to carry a handgun in most public places in 2021. However, there are still restrictions on carrying a handgun, including: Age: You must be at least 21 years old Criminal record: You cannot have a prior felony conviction or a recent conviction for certain types of misdemeanors Protective orders: You cannot be subject to an unexpired protective order Federal law: You cannot be restricted from possessing a firearm under federal law Intoxication: You cannot be intoxicated, except in certain situations Holster: You must carry handguns in a holster Display: You cannot display a handgun on purpose in a public place, in another person's plain view, unless the gun is holstered There are also restrictions on where guns can be carried, including pubs, voting stations, schools, educational institutions, racetracks, hospitals, nursing homes, and correctional facilities. Businesses and other private property owners can also choose whether to prohibit unlicensed carry.
Texas Penal Code - PENAL § 46.02. Unlawful Carrying Weapons (a) A person commits an offense if the person: (1) intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly carries on or about his or her person a handgun ; and (2) is not: (A) on the person's own premises or premises under the person's control; or (B) inside of or directly en route to a motor vehicle or watercraft that is owned by the person or under the person's control. (a-1) A person commits an offense if the person intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly carries on or about his or her person a handgun in a motor vehicle or watercraft that is owned by the person or under the person's control at any time in which: (1) the handgun is in plain view, unless the person is licensed to carry a handgun under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code, and the handgun is carried in a shoulder or belt holster; or (2) the person is: (A) engaged in criminal activity, other than a Class C misdemeanor that is a violation of a law or ordinance regulating traffic or boating; (B) prohibited by law from possessing a firearm; or (C) a member of a criminal street gang, as defined by Section 71.01.
@@realreacts4338 Leave out the “or”. You need to be 21 or older no matter what. Also remember that, while you may carry openly in a holster, if you carry concealed and your weapon accidentally “shows”, you might be subject to brandishing laws. Not to mention the lunatic Karen who relocated from California who melts down and calls the cops because she saw your weapon printing through your clothing!
Our fucked up governor gave more rights to the criminal by not allowing law abiding citizens to carry in places where the potential to have a situation can occur. But I carry everywhere. The police and DA I work with told me that if you stop a shooter no way they will prosecute you for doing the right thing.
The short answer is no. Unless you have a license to carry. Here is our full video on the subject: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SaiWFn1UUSI.html
I understand you guys, but the fact is, there is no law that requires it. It is a personal choice. This is not advice to tell them or not tell them. The only requirement is found in Government 411.205 "Requirement to display" and it only applies to holders of a license to carry. Even if they do not provide their LTC to the officer, there is no punishment Unless you have found state law stating otherwise, this is the case, there is no legal requirement to notify an officer that can be enforced in Texas.
@@PrimalDefenseCo okay yes you do not have to come out and tell them. However, if you are carrying and they ask if there is anything in the car ( which they usually do) you have to tell them. Also if they ask for ID and you a LTC holder who is currently carrying, you must present both drivers license and LTC. This law is known as the “Duty to inform law”
@@PrimalDefenseCo I’m not suggesting anything, it’s a fact and people on you tube test it all the time and every time the minority is always harassed , falsely arrested and even killed. So yes definitely a double standard. Some gun stores won’t sell to minorities.
I would like to personally thank you so much for the work you do as a police officer.. in my opinion it's the most important job in the land next to a preacher of sound doctrine which there are very few of these days. May the good Lord continue to deliver you and give you wisdom to carry out Justice in the land. God bless you!!!
@@roar5952 unfortunately felons can only posses a firearm in the place that they live. And that is only after 5 years from the completion of their punishment. Also, federally, it is unlawful forever.
Not good if someone steals your purse. If you do, don't keep it in a compartment with other items that could get in the trigger guard and fire the gun.

I was told by law enforcement in Houston TX that I couldn't carry my carbin pistol that looks like your with brace in my vehicle because of the barrel not being the right length. Your saying it's ok??
@@oneshotj what I'm saying is that if it is considered a pistol, it's not a rifle. Pistols do not have a barrel length minimum. The PDW displayed in this video is a pistol outfitted with a steady brace. The brace is not considered a stock. A stock would be unlawful to install if the PDW with a better length of less than 16 inches is not registered as a short barrel rifle.
