What r those 2h buffs you have? I've trying doing this boss with melee...no chance, after watching your video I've tried using crossbow and got him to 1/4 hp but he killed me after trowing my ass into one of those lighting bubbles. I still need to upgrade 1 piece of Dracula's armor and one epic gem for abilities, maybe then I'll manage. Also if you have lightning resistance that would make a whole lot of difference if that's what that buff of yours is.
this boss was unnecessarily difficult, but maybe its on me since I gotten use to the double dash of the chaos dash as well as blood rage for extra healing, everything else was well... meticulous
they actually made him easier now, i was going in expecting an open area to be dealing with his spam but instead he just patrols the forest now, this may seem like them making him harder but honestly they made him easier in 2 interesting ways: 1) Because the forest is narrow and he tries to predict your movements its quite easy to have him aim at a rock after the charge, and i mean rock as in terrain you cant destroy and mess up his pathing for easy reaper+crossbow combo, at first I thought that depending where it happened I would not be that lucky since I barely escaped him at literally 1hp when trying to lure him to the perfect location for kiting. 2) I was having troubles with cursed shrooms for that act for hmm... about a day and a half but with this boss because unless you leave a certain radius around him he wont stop chasing you... that allowed me to literally use him as a farm to clear the trees show all the shrooms and take all the cursed logs for double the shrooms, its my second time around and im literally aggroing him now to help me chop wood, crystals, silkworms(yes he kills the spiders too), ghost crystals and so much more, he is like a pet Labrador at this point. Anyway this guide is outdated and this boss is literally busted for high end material farming since unless you leave his aggro radius you can literally chop down his entire patrol area by leading him around, enjoy
As an aside, this game it built around it various biomes/environments. Unlike many other games, don’t prioritize items/resources, thoughts are secondary. The primary concern in this games is environment and generally how to manipulate it to your advantage. Build, destroy, dig, etc. First, make the environment work in your favor. Then, you can an worry about item/resource collection. Never used any resistances to defeat boss. Let the environment do the heavy lift after you have shaped it to your advantage. Food to keep up stamina is fairly necessary throughout the game. Health is important if you plan to take damage or tank. Or, you can go full archer and line of sight the boss down. Good luck.
Let’s make this simple. Here is how you bug out Bonemass and never need to worry about using any poison resistant items. Find a Bonemass spawn spot. Identify the biomes around it. This is how it’s done. Argo Bonemass out of the swamp. Did this in the middle of a large swamp. Pull him up out of the swamp and deep into the Meadows. At the point, let him smash his way through the trees and argo the various critters there. Then, take note of the map location and just run from him. He didn’t re-spawn or move back to the swamp. He just stayed in the Meadows, generally right where you run from him. Now, grab about 500 (this is where the tedium sets in). Make sure you have at least a fine wood bow. If you craft fire arrows, they are helpful to keep track of shot direction/accuracy (like a tracer), and when they hit Bonemass, he is set ablaze, which further confirms the hit and allows you to keep an eye on his location. Just find a spot in Meadows than is fairly mob-free, stay out of argo distance/range, and fire away with your 500 flame arrows. You will have to repair the bow once. So, keep in mind that half-way through you will need to hit up a workbench that can repair your bow. Yes, Bonemass will regenerate about 10-20% of his health while performing your repair (depending on your workbench location). Once repaired, head back to your safe shooting spot and fire away at him. It takes about 20 mins max. Just stay in Meadows and out of argo and launch volley after volley of arrows at him. Yes, his health bar will tick very slowly down (hence the 500 arrows). However, benefits of the strategy are obvious: (1) no poison, (2) no mobs, (3) no argo, and (4) no wasting valuable resources. All it costs is patience, time, and a small bit of luck (plus 500 fire arrows). Having a tamed wolf or two guarding your behind from a safe distance (as to not argo and chase down Bonemass) is also helpful. Maybe he just bugged out, but this strategy worked. Good luck.
god.... this is brutal... I cant wait to finish the game on normal (last few bosses) to try it, im still not very good at swapping weapons but im getting the hang of it
I actually did the exact opposite lol.. I went near the water and attracted mobs to Angram, than in that madness I activated all my abilities on him from a distance and swapping to range(I used the the Scythe E on him while he was occupied into Aftershock + Ball Lightning + Chaos Barrage with enhancements on tier 1 for both, than swapping to the gun and using E again after the cooldown went down back away reposition hence and repeat)
I can confirm that raising earth does NOT work if you think he cant pass through and your safe behind them. He smashes everything to stone. I have the little island off the coast yagluth one. So I built a stone hut across on land, had a walk way over to island kinda in water/land so i wouldn't end up having to swim back over. I raised to pillars onbwalkway and put a iron gate to. 3 fuling spawn on island and some on land so thats why i did gate. Needless to say, I went with silver sword, the fenis armor (supposedly fire resistant... BS) and still i used fire meed aswell. Well idk wtf happened but i kept burning. Even with fire potion and fire resistant armor, maybe the linen cape? I wore it for looks. But anyway, I DIED in a min or two, spawned back across the way in hut and was trying to grab back up items to get back across and keep going.... He was out side my hut (stone) and smashed TF out of me and my home. I didn't barely get a chance to open the box to grab items and i hear him right outside my spawn and BAM! I see _You Died_ AGAIN. I literally took hours to prepare to fight him, preparing the little island etc, for jack. Now both my portals and bed, hell everything are toast. I spawn at altar and now have to basically sail back from closest spawn (mortar spawn I guess). I was watching this vid right before fighting him. Now i complaining after ive somehow died twice and lost everything. 2 different maxed gear sets, black metal sword, axe, pickaxe, shield, dragner bow... Everything lol 🤦♂️ Yagluth is ⚠️ Dangerous!
Rufus is beating my ass im on my 8th try and hes still getting me with the rapid fire arrows. Im gonna try running two dodges instead of 1 ranged and 1 dodge spell
no matter what i do, i cant dodge the attack where it breaths ice at you. every attempt at trying to dodge it is useless, and i cant see where the fuck im goinging because the boss fight makes the landscape so fucking pitch black. i literally ran into the black forest because i was about to die, and my screen was literally black except for my draugr bow and the glowing eyes of 3 greydwarf shawmans running at me
i just tried running to my corpse and started freezing in the black forest biome im done with this fucking stupid game. im not sure what im doing wrong but these videos are making the moder fight look like a breeze, when its fucking not. i must be missing something because this is the worst gaming experience i think i have ever had.
I'm currently doing my first run of the game and decided to play it on Brutal. It has been humbling, but really fun! Right now I'm close to finishing act 2 and looking back at how others defeated the previous bosses, like on this video, is really interesting. Great video! Waiting on the next act :)
Thank you. I was going crazy with how to get to him without running into random monsters. Clearing a small area and pingponging in front of him did the trick.
do you know what you levels were at the time when fighting moder with melee and bow? because my shield skill is only level 17 and i just wanna be sure that ill be able to block the bosses attacks

I still dont know why people who like you making Videos can defeat all those Bosses so easily while i have to put my Game in Easy mode, am 6 Levels above the Boss and still can not defeat those Bosses.
