I really miss your podcast ❤. Actually, I really wanna take part in it after I will become a member of NHL family in September. It's so attractive, especially for those who would like to study at the NHL Stenden. I'm waiting for a new one!
Gonçalo how is studying in the netherlands cheaper than in portugal? Unless yous tudy in lisbon where rents are super high, I think portugal is cheaper
I'm yet to join I'm February yeah , and I am a non-EU student , I was wondering about the meal plan , so I'm the first month it might be quite hard to buy your own groceries and meals and I was wondering does NHL help in some way ?
Oh nice! We’d love to welcome you. We’re pretty sure there’s always somebody to show you around and show you how things work here. Also Student Info can hook you up with all the information you need. There’s also a possibility to get food from our different canteens if you’re struggling with cooking and need some inspiration for healthy meals.😉 If that is what you mean.. 🙂
About us dutchies being rude. Yes, for people not from The Netherlands we can be considered rude. But we think honesty is very important. Just look for example at Max Verstappen. He is considered rude. He is however honest in the way he thinks. So, when a dutchie says: you look sick, you look bad. We don't want to be rude, we are really worried about you and want to know what's going on.
I've lived for 48 years in the Netherlands. I've never noticed that they are more direct than in other countries where I've lived. Perhaps honesty is being confused with directness.
@@dutchuncle3310 nah he was most of the part indecive and on the leash of his brother. Not strong enough to fully apose Napoleon and not strong enough to apose his apponents in the Dutch gouvernement.
Geez and this is why dutch students have a housing shortage.. Complete waste of money and resources. A iq test would be a nice before letting this lot study here.
HUGE effort, Lotje Arensman! It's so refreshing to celebrate and support others in their efforts to help our students with university choice. The Podcast is a fabulous idea for any who are considering higher education in Holland. Kudos to you, Lotje! Content creation is something which takes time and a great deal of effort. I truly appreciate your endeavor and support the mindset of giving to educational communities. Best and continued success to you and to our colleagues at NHL Stenden.
that dutch girl is the worst at explaining stuff, the supermarket are smaller here because supermarkets are everywhere and this isnt a car centric hellhole so you can just go to the closest by supermarket to get your stuff, when you look at america you have big supermarket where you have to travel to 30 mins by cars because everybody goes there, here you have many closeby supermarkets.
Great! Can't wait to see you! The upcoming weeks we'll be sharing new episodes of the podcast, in case you'd like to prepare for your student life in the Netherlands. ;)
