fcp 10.4.8 and OS 10.15.7 and im having same issues although that wasn't always the case. Did anyone figure out the problem?

Still a problem in 2021. I’ve never had stabilization or rolling shutter work for me. It crashes in 1 second and I have to re-open the program and try to quickly zoom in and turn stabilization off before it crashes again. I don’t know why they put this feature in the program if it doesn’t work. So frustrating!
