Tori Kelly is my favorite female singer. But honestly, Jess has that GROWN WOMAN tone especially in her chest notes and belts, reminds me of Jojo. But technically, Tori is like a female Avery Wilson to me. The clarity and the pitch accuracy of all the notes in the runs they do. Clean as the board of health. I want Tori to get into growls, but I know that’s probs not her style lol. Both of these women are 1&2 in terms of my favorite lol
Honestly for how much longer Jessie has been in the game, I have to say she’s a bit more underrated. Not because she more talented than Tori- but because it’s sort of beyond me how she’s absolutely on par with the likes of Christina Aguilera and Beyonce, not that much younger than either, but didn’t get the same opportunities or recognition. Regardless, both of them started singing as children and gained significant attention for their talents even then- but the industry inexplicably ignored Tori for a shameful amount of time.
I think whistle notes shouldn't be considered part of the range...why? I know many baritones who can sing all the way up to a C5 but can't go higher....many of them have whistle notes up to the F6... But the D5-B5 are notes they can't sing. Si that's why I consider whistle notes as a register only and not part of the vocal range
Ehh, I disagree. A lot of people also have gaps between their chest and head voice, but head voice is still considered apart of their range despite the gap.
