The mission of the Old Time Radio Researchers Group is to accurately preserve classic old time radio series from the past in order for future generations to enjoy them. This channel contains only OTRR-certified/maintained releases of old time radios series across all genres. "OTRR-certified" or "OTRR-maintained" means the most complete and accurate version of a series at the time of its release, and represents many hours of work by our group researching each series. Enjoy!
When I worked in carts at a retail store, I found these on the Internet, and had to download them all onto a MP3 player with like maybe 30MGs of storage. What times it is now, to be able to listen to a 100+ collection from my phone. 😌
14:00 (...)you gave me your heart you know you'd like me to hand it back whole again but I won't You'll live a long time yet Catherine and eternity without me, you will look into the faces of passengers-by hoping for something that will for an instant bring me back to you,You will find moonlit nights strangely empty because when you call my name through them there will be no answer, ALWAYS you heart will be aching for me and your mind will give you the doubtful consolation that you did a brave thing... Your DARE to talk of Bravery... What else do we have to talk about Catherine?, for me there will never be another woman but you, but for my HEART there is another love that must come before you, My country , you are so still, your face is like ice...
Don't withhold important information from children. Don't try to guard them from bad news, they can understand. It's pain for them when they don't know. They'll ponder all their life what was going on and nobody had told them. (I know from experience, I wish somebody had told me ...)
I am a person who searches for empirically proveable truth when it comes to religious claims BUT we will never again witness any modern director/producer/actor present any story that comes close to the true meaning of Judaism nor Christianity…maybe…MAYBE Islam if the story is broadcast in a moslem enclave…but even this is “if-y”….high personal morals and high professional ethics are dying if not dead…thanks for the upload.
My favorite comedy episode of X Minus One. The idea is a wonderful gag, although the Mayor/General is a little more worried than he should be at one point considering no one in the colony has any clue what a "murder" is.
And just like that… The United States has entered World War II I’ve enjoyed listening to these programs in order. It’s been a thrill to listen from the great depression to the 40s, the loss of Amelia Earhart, hearing the changes in Hollywood and advertising. It makes me a little sad to know what this broadcast just a day after Pearl Harbor Means for the world
20:06...😅😅😅 "...Tycoon worries." I have so many 'Chester Proudfoot' moments, but even I'm starting to get all muddled up about what that means! He sure as shooting has a pure heart that Mr. Proudfoot!
As noted in the description: "Excessive cross talk particularly at beginning. The last eight minutes are clear. " The original transcription disks are long since unavailable, so unless they resurface - or a different, non AFRS version is discovered - this is the best available version of this episode.
Not as good as the first time, with Thomas Mitchell. One problem was that there was no explanation for the son's murder. We never heard him. In the first version we heard a muffled voice (Charles) and then nothing---which indicated that the father killed him. Creepy but bittersweet😢
I used to lay on my grandmas bed and before bed listen to these radio shows lol. Not conducive of sweet sleep. Terrified to get out of bed even to go to pee!
