EV’s always have better off the line performance because the power transfer is instantanious. I still love the sound that combustion engines give. I might rent an EV for a week, but I don’t think I’ll give up driving my NA motor. I get almost 600 km out of a tank doing highway and it takes about 10 minutes to refill her. There’s pros and cons to both types so really comes down to what you want to do with the $$$$. What is the average life span of a set of batteries and what cost is there to replace them? Also what’s the cost to charge a Tesla from empty?
I definitely agree that the sound of a car is pretty awesome! I use to work on cars after high school and was a mechanic for a while with Audi, so can relate to that feeling. I can’t really give you an entire cost comparison as we don’t have both and costs and all that have changed since we had a gas vehicle but in terms of what we spend, from 0 - full would cost roughly around $30 cad. That gets us about 400km give or take. The lifespan of the battery, I believe is still not fully known. Tesla warranties the battery for 10 years and overall I hear the degradation is not big, maybe 1-2% a year. What I love the most, the maintenance is very low, as it doesn’t need oils or anything like that. We did replace the tires, the car is pretty heavy so we wear on that a little more. Overall, I would agree there are pros and cons to both and I don’t believe either is better just preference. Hybrids might be the sweet spot today but again, circumstance and preference. We would love to get another Tesla, as we have had great experiences with the car, but the company is a whole other animal. The sales and service and finance departments don’t really communicate, so you can get stuck in situations such as us trying to buy a number of months back and having to do our own back and forth with each. We killed the deal just because there was no transparency and getting mixed info from each. I am not a fan of Elon and all the things he does publicly. I do realize other ceos could have the same sort of thoughts but I don’t hear of to many publicly doing what he is, so we are not sure what we might get down the road but will have to decide soon. Let’s us know if you have further questions!
@@ever.after.adventures thanks for the info! I really hadn’t heard how much it costs to charge them. $30 is cheaper for sure. I’d say I’m about $100 from empty, depending on gas prices of course. I’ve been seeing commercials for the new Mustang EV. That one looks pretty sweet. I can see the saving on maintenance as well! Doing a synthetic oil change on the Poolmobile is about $100. The life of the batteries seems really good too. For some reason I thought it would be a lot less. Definitely food for thought.
I’m pretty sure that shirt is pop icons mixed with characters. Like Albert Einstein and Chewbacca. And Shakespeare and Superman. And David Bowie and Spock
I love that they put a retro comic book in the bag. I remember the ads in the comics growing up. One was for sea monkeys. I ALWAYS wanted to order them, but never did. That and the X-Ray specs! Haha Great video! Can’t wait for day 3-4!!
YESSSSS, those ads! I remember sea monkeys too! Haha... there were so many fun little things like that growing up! Thank you so much for watching, commenting, and for hanging out with us!! :D
I agree about Elon being a big ol idiot. But I'm still taking delivery of a Model 3 Performance in a couple days lol. Something to keep in mind is that you can literally find Elon likes within ANY major corporation. They just hide it better. Steve Jobs was an asshole. And Apple has done some highly questionable things with regard to knowingly pushing out problematic devices to consumers over the years. Yet I see y'all have zero issue supporting that company. Point is, just buy what you want to buy. Because if you look to only buy from companies with 100% moral leadership then you'll likely wind up having to toss everything that you own. Not to mention, Elon is set regardless. Boycotting his company's cars won't even affect him
That's a totally fair perspective, and we're not trying to change anyone's opinions by any means. But for me personally (this is Cate writing), as a therapist, I know that one of the most important pieces of feeling fully aligned and showing up as my authentic self is to guide my own decision making process by my values. Right now, there is a major values conflict between myself and Elon, which then extends to the Tesla brand - so I, personally, would not feel great about driving around in a new Tesla (I already don't feel great about driving around in our current Tesla, knowing what it represents). I have absolutely no doubt that there are crappy leaders at the helm of many brands that I support - but they are most definitely less vocal about their crappy views, which makes it less of a values concern for me. But when their views are paraded out there far and wide for everyone to be aware of, then when I am displaying myself using that brand, there is then an association from me to the brand and to those views. My choice in not buying a Tesla has nothing to do with "punishing Elon" or anything like that - because you're right, it will not affect him whatsoever. My choice has to do with how I feel when I support a company that has an inherent values conflict with the person I am.
Roll the window up you'll get better mileage and less dust/humidity in the vehicle. I ended up buying a Mercedes GLE 450, still love Elon. Oh and Trump 2024!
In Franklyn you are at a V2 supercharger. Which means when you park beside someone you are sharing a cabinet Since V2’s are 150 kw max and you are sharing, if both of you arrive around the same time and low in the pack, you’d share the 150kw in half with the other car pulling power from the cabinet. Look for 1A,1B 2A, 2B, etc. V3’s are numbered a little differently. V3’s do not share power unless if the site is extremely busy.
Great vid! Thank you! i am planing a trip to this hotel and i would like staying in the Jamaica Section. Is the bus stop close form Jamaica section (internal bus)? Thanks!
Hope you enjoy your stay! We’ve actually never taken the internal bus look at CBR, but I believe all of the stations are fairly close to their areas :)
Oohh yes! They are so good! Hot tip: if you fly into the new terminal at MCO, there’s a summer house right there! We brought cookies back home with us last time!
When is the next road trip to Florida video? Just watched this for the second time. We are going to take this route from just north of you guys to Orlando for a cruise in February
We actually don’t have one planned, for the first time in forever! Usually we head down for the holidays, but we’re staying home this year for a change! Hopefully we’ll get another road trip in before our lease is up though 😅 love taking this car on trips!
WOW FROM QUÉBEC,I LIKE THE WAY THE WOMEN IS ENERGIZE.WENT OFTEN TO FLORIDA AND IT IS BETTER TO STOP EARLY BECAUSE USED TO STOP LATE BUT THE MOTEL WERE FULL.YOU ARE A LUCKY COUPLE
Not the full panel, but you can see a bit more of it on our Fan Expo 2023 videos, around the 10 minute mark: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ckFbcBP4qxA.htmlsi=ma1j09eaUIIDzQoQ
It definitely fluctuates depending on the weather (battery dies faster in cold weather) and speed… but yes, approx every 3-4 hours in a standard range model 3.
In many states the lack of lights on the road is to prevent light pollution. You will notice near interchanges, rest stops and many on and off ramps there are lights to assist with merging traffic. Also unlike southern Canada where most of the population is concentrated in a small area, the US is massive with thousands of miles of roadways. Can you imagine the cost to put lights along every road. I imagine major highways in large stretches of Alberta and Saskatchewan do not have highway lights either.
I'm really sorry that's been your experience. Personally, whether in a stage where I'm single or I'm taken, I try to book my birthday off work every year 😅
Forever love Soarin’ over California. The OG is the best. Journey of water is so pretty at night. Really need to make that a priority to see next time. Wow the dessert from Toledo (and the view) looks incredible. Great video you guys 😊
Thank you so much Jen! In retrospect, I do think I like Soarin over the world just slightly better, mostly because I don’t know a lot of the California locations, but I’m so glad I got to see that one! And the smells are incredible!
What an awesome event!! I would be spending way too much money here LOL. Cool vintage stuff too. Love seeing all the tables and merch available. The Han and Luke collector is so cool!! The Darth Mr. Potato Head is adorable - love the dust lol! The mystery bags are fun. Fantastic video you guys :)
It was such a fun event! We went back for the summer event a couple of weekends ago and it was another fantastic experience! Everyone is so kind, and there’s always so much fun stuff to see!
Great video! To me you provided the right amount of information, not too much fluff like other channels nor did you repeat the same one or two points over and over. While you also showed everything someone could reasonable be looking for in a Disney hotel video!
I love Boathouse! I used to go there every trip but haven't in while as we were going so much! The ducky drink looks so cute, I always wanted to try it. Your food looks sooo good - that lobster roll YUM!
"Creeper" 🤣 It was so nice to finally meeting you in person! I love these events. It's overwhelming how much stuff there is to look at. Cakeworthy is such a great store. They have some decent sales sometimes too. Love that you got the Star Wars figurines. Okay I definitely missed out on the earrings!! The Haunted Mansion dress is awesome!! And we got the same shirt woohoo!
It was awesome to meet you in person! Love that we're shirt twinsies! I'm excited to check out the Cakeworthy sale this weekend... not sure how early we'll get there though, so hopefully it's not all gone by the time we arrive lol.
Boathouse is one of the best meals I've had on property. The oysters were incredible and they have a great beer selection too! Would definitely go back because now I need to try the Duck duck Razz.
@@ever.after.adventures I'm actually on my family vacation right now I drove from Brooklyn New York to Indian shores Clearwater Beach in my 2015 Honda Odyssey I left New York at 6:00 in the morning and I reached the Florida welcome center by 12:30 at night
@@shadowpeople5771that’s great that you enjoy it that way… to me, that reminds me of trips when I was a kid, where the objective was to get there as fast as possible. If I wanted to do that, I’d fly down. We really enjoy the journey and exploring, meeting new people, trying new food, etc. To each their own!
