It was that purist dedication to his craft that did him in. He went so deep into the role he became it in many ways. Im a writer and used to go to similar lengths to pull the reality and believability out of my most intense creations. Its a real mine field. Nothing to be taken lightly. If youre an artist...actor or writer...it would be wise to Use great talents like this as a cautionary tale as much as an inspiration.
Dude should take a film history course and read up on something called the 80s! The Outsiders, St. Elmo’s Fire, Youngblood, About Last Night, Class and I’m sure more, all these things where Rob Lowe played this teenage/early 20s heart throb throughout the 80s a whole decade and more before West Wing, I’m sure maybe Traeger is based off his character from that but that certainly isn’t where he rose to stardom!
