Dear Ashlee I am super stressed today. I visited my regular Hair Salon Barber & a lady messed up my Hair. I told her I wanted a Frizzy Messy Look & to trim my hair a tiny bit on top with a Mid Fade on the sides & back. I originally had long hair. So I usually go for a long haired style which gives me the opportunity to style & experiment with my hair. She cut wayy too short to the fact where I now look like a basic person. I don't like basic I prefer stylish, fashionable. Not only that she also got rid of my Beard when I asked her Specifically that I wanted a 5 O'Clock Shade Shave & with a Line Up. She didn't even succeed on that. I told her that this is completely Different to the photo I showed her & it looks nothing like what I wanted. I told her to Communicate with me throughout before she applies action on each cut so that she's Aware & that I see she's cutting it exactly the way I require her to. She did not even do that at all & she just went on doing her own thing on my hair 🤦 There for I walked out Unhappy with a Fuck*ed up trim. Now I gotta wait Months till my Hair Re-Grows again. I may have to wear a Hat until it fully grows. I have a Runway Walk the next day & now I feel down about it. She says she cuts Hair for Actors in the Film & Media industry. I have rarely had this awful treatment before, so for this to happen during a ocassion that is important, I am so not myself 👎 I even showed your work to her & she wasn't even paying any attention to it, let alone pay any attention to Detail! She kept looking at her Cell Phone as well because her Phone kept pinging. I was like, can you just focus on the Hair. This treatment was so Unprofessional honestly. Hair & Beard is a Man's Makeup & she ruined it. I have nothing to even style. I am very Strict with my hair & who/what touches it because of situations like this 😑
You went to your regular barber salon but you did get a haircut by your regular barber/stylist? I’m wondering how could she mess up a 5 o’clock beard trim unless she didn’t know what one looks like. Can’t you trim your own beard dude using guards? 🙄
At the 9:38 mark, you say point cut. Are you saying point cut because you're cutting off the highest points of the hair? Cause when I point cut, I cut the points at an angle to create a textured look.
The client made an excellent decision to see Ashlee & receive her expert haircut. She really enjoys her craft & making her clients look their best. Very nice to listen & watch 😊
I can see you being Vogue's main Hairstylist & at New York Fashion Week. Also consider getting involved in Film & Media as a Hairstylist on Movie Sets. It pays well & you get to be your own boss. N.Y or L.A could be your calling or maybe UK.
Ashley, I really like how you seem to take the head shape into consideration when using your clippers. I watch a lot of these tutorials and videos and it’s not always the case.
