Seemed it leged you!!! Very nice!!... Αλλά παράκληση μην βρίζεις!!! 😂😂😂😂 Τόσα πολλά μπορείς να πεις, όπως :"fish on baby, fish on yeah" " I got the bottom or what!!"... 😂😂😂😂😂
I was using a 600lh protein skimmer and an Aqua Flow XL internal filter. The fish were thriving and I had to release the rockling and a wrasse as they got too big. Unfortunately the following summer saw temperatures of 30c in my area and I lost many fish. I made a new setup with a bigger tank and added a water chiller that kept the water much cooler.
Hello Dimitros , hope you are well . Watching your channel often 👍. I fished these waters 40 years ago inshore trawling . They were prolific grounds for haddock . All-around the north coast of Skye , trotternish , even into dunvegan head . Moonen bay was always good for a coley. Is there any haddock there nowadays ? I,m now retired & driving for Tesco. I come to the island 3 days a week . I was chatting to a lad recently & he said all they catch is Pollack ? I'm intrigued because what was happening back then was thankfully stopped but did the grounds not recover ? They did further north in the kinlochbervie area .
Hello aye I've heard the stories too but I tend to specialise in rough ground and mainly target structure fish ie pollock, rock cod, coalies etc . Moonen still good for many fish but not the big coalies of the past unfortunately. Biggest I've seen around the 4-5lbs. For haddock, though I've caught little ones in deep harbours here and there, Ive never really targeted them. From discussions with fishermen and by my catches, the cod seem to be definitely making a comeback as I get them more regularly as the years go by. And come autumn their young can be caught in many harbours on the island. I'm not sure if that's the same case with haddock sadly.
Thanks for your reply Dimitrios . It's a real shame about the haddock stocks around the island . 40years ago there was cod around Dunvegan head at spawning time as big as the men that were catching them !! The government wouldn't put a stop to commercial fishing for them at spawning time then & still won't today 🤷. It's unbelievable that some of the richest waters in the world are still not being managed properly . I came ashore 19 years ago in total frustration & disgust . The only hope now is that because there are so few boats fishing inshore that a recovery will take place through time . I was fishing at melon Udrige last sat with my mate 1 half decent pollack each is all we caught for 4 hrs 😪
@@user-gv7pb9rx5o it's horrendous mismanagement man but that's what greed brings. We could've had waters akin to Norway. Anyway I'm glad that at least pollack are still here!
Hello mate, did you make that wooden floor yourself based on the aluminium one they sell, if so how does it clip together. Just asking was thinking of making one myself 👍
That looks great stuff on light gear, Dimi. Interesting to read on your blog about changing the line attachment point to get a slower action … Cold water, Early April, yet you still get top water hits - mind boggling! I’m heading up mid April for a day or two - I’ll be in touch. Stay safe, Gary W
