I cannot believe how you have transformed the Can-Am! Much more versatile. If Irv had lived maybe we would have been doing such stuff. Well, not us! But the shop where we originally bought it.
I like your pivoting loft ladder; thanks for showing how you made it. I used the same swivel seat hinges to build my Murphy bed. I still need to add the pivoting legs like you did. Hey, I started building in 2015 and I'm still not done! It is the journey, not the destination! - Dave
It is working like a champ! No joking, the little 12v pump I use with it really puts out the water. So. Much. Fun. Thanks for watching - and for all your great comments.
Thanks for watching. The Murphy Bed is on the main floor. Since we don't live there, using it as a recreational get-away, we leave the bed down when we're not at the cabin. While there, both the bed and the ladder are up unless needed. Make sense??
Nice of you to post your lessons learned. Your list will help others. Glad that you mentioned the issue with not having eaves, and how the water drips on the lower walls. I am moving to a snowy area and realize that there are all sorts of things I need to learn, and consider, when building a cabin. Thanks!
Thanks for your video. How long did you own the property before you decided to build the cabin? Basically I was wondering about the original location and if it was a wetter than normal winter or you hadn't noticed that it got boggy there. Useful info on the hardiboard not holding up to the weather. I am thinking of using metal sheeting on the sides of my cabin to reduce issues with water. Live and learn. :)
We bought the property in August, and was building in September. By October, the bog arrived! It was a typical year, and the bog has returned every year but last year - we're in a drought. Good luck with your projects and thanks for watching.
Your propane tank is fine. I have used a buddy heater for over 18 years. The heat output isn’t going to effect the tank at all. The condensation can be an issue but I wouldn’t worry about the co2 from it either. Unless the place is insanely air tight
