Pat was 100% right. There are no big stars in Vegas except for what I call "destination stars" like Elton John. As far as Dionne Warwick goes, her own niece, Whitney Houston, said "Dionne is for Dionne." Whitney would turn over in her grave if she knew that Aunt Dionne took center stage at her funeral.
Pat cooper played in my restaurant 20 years ago he’s very demanding and was very greedy I was small Busniess and choked me with the prices he charged me $5000.00 was not worth it and I am Italian but he was greedy
always loved all of tom snyder's shows including radio. I can't believe i missed this one. i'm here from Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing Colossal Podcast where Pat Cooper was the guest. What a fantastic combo of talent and humor. I can't believe i'm blessed enough to see these so many years later
Pasquali Caputo! I saw him as a kid in the Catskill Mountains at one of the Villas and he cracked up my father so much that even though I didn't get Pat's jokes, my dad loved him, so I did too!
Rip. But this guy was an insufferable prick to deal with professionally. The fact he went on national talk shows to bitch about it ruined his career. Self sabotage
Did you know what he said to his own mother and what he said about her on a radio show? He had millions of dollars and bitched about giving his mother a lousy 5 thousand dollars and bragged on the radio that he told his mother that she is, "Full of shit". He had problems with his son, daughter, mother, father and his 3 sisters. He used to say, "What did I do to them", no Pat the question that you should have been asking was, "What did they do to me that caused me so much anger, bitterness and hatred toward them?"
I still can’t believe he’s gone. Tears filled my eyes when I read the news. He gave my family hours, and years, worth of laughter. Thank you Pasquale ❤️
Damn! Just found out that Mr. Cooper died four days ago, after having watched this video a few seconds ago. Guess it showed up in my recommended videos because he passed away.
It's not really well-understood, but comedy actually has an etiquette to it, with social courtesies/graces involved. Pat understood that, even if the headliners in the nightclubs didn't/don't. Pat worked his way up through the Catskills and the New York club circuit, where he no doubt spent a lot of time around prickly prima donnas and egomaniacs, plus all of the talent managers, agents, club/hotel owners, talent bookers, and yes, mobsters that pervaded the business.
I just learned of his passing this morning, and like thousands of others, I feel like a member of the family has left us. Love you Pat, and thank you so much for the memories ❤️
