I am (was?) a somewhat infrequent small addon maker for the ArmA series of games. This channel will be used to showcase my work and, more realistically, some of my activities in assorted games...when I remember / can be bothered to record the stuff.
The current obsession is DCS World which I will invariable stream on twitch for recording/review purposes. Feel free to tag along! www.twitch.tv/toadball
Sharp ears, you do indeed hear a fox 3 from Vking who was flying with me in an F14 engaging nearby migs with a phoenix. At the same time, I call rifle 8 as I engage the Osa (SA-8) with a maverick which your seeing initially in the clip
@@ToadBall Wich Flashpoint Levant server is this? Last time i checked, Amraams are banned there as it is a more or less 80´s / early 90´s scenario... edit: ah nevermind, just saw that it was fired by an F-14 so must be an AIM-54...
The A4 has a relatively early RWR, the humm and warbling noises are coming from that. After I make the first pass of my target you hear it get really active when the Mig-23s start pointing their radars at me prompting me to switch over to the sidewinders - the angry buzzing/growling noises
Due to some audio issues I think I've fixed at the time DCS sounds like the TEWS / RWR did not get picked up in this recording. As I'm pretty tunnel visioned on the TPOD screen and we cant see the TEWS its possible it did. Though the kicker with the 2S6/SA-19 is that while it can and does sometimes appear on RWR, it will rarely spike unless its engaging with its guns. They may use the radar for track/range information, but it is not needed for the missiles as they can be optically guided. Against short range attacks like this one (ca 5nm) I'd be surprised if the radar was used.
Dear Group Attached is the link for PRC-77 price list recently uploaded to the group FILES : groups.yahoo.com/group/Racal-manpacks/files/ -Under anthony hendra Our firm is a legitimate company based in indonesia and we dont have any website and will most probably never have any. Previously we only deal exclusively to government issued purchase order and we have legit papers for that - incl advanced payment bond, bank guarantee and performance bond issued by Bank of America (BofA). Our contract is strictly government. including instructions from BofA addressed to the Commander in Chief of The Indonesian Army. We'd prefer to sell and ship them in whole. these merchandise have been sitting dusty but are kept and maintained in fine condition. as stated before - these are just leftover stocks that we are happy to clean out. :) MODULE SPECIFICATIONS A11A - DISCRIMINATOR SYNTHESIZER - D875705 A16A - VOLTAGE REGULATOR - D875708 A17A - PHASE COMPARATOR - D875704 A18A - 5.6 MHZ IF AMPLIFIER - D875722 A21A - RECEIVER IF AMPLIFIER LIMITER - SMD 875724 A23 - TONE GENERATOR - 447316 A31 - TRANSMITTER FREQUENCY CONTROL - 448740 A32 - RECEIVER INPUT - 448741 A33 - RECEIVER FIRST RF - 448742 A34 - RECEIVER SECOND RF - 448743 A35A - RECEIVER MIXER - D875692 A36 - TRANSMITTER PA - 448744 A37 - TRANSMITTER IPA - 448745 A38 - TRANSMITTER VFO - 448746 A39A - SYNTHESIZER VFO - D875672 A40A - INTERVAL OSCILLATOR - 875659 A43A - 53 MC FILTER - 448739 A44A - FIRST MIXER - 621272 A45A - 1 MHZ SPECTRUM GENERATOR - D875701 A50 - XMTR MIXER - 448753 A54A - TONE SQUELCH - 875637 A55 - RECEIVER AUDIO - 448752 www.nj7p.org/Manuals/Index_Manuals.php/
I pretty sure you are not correct about the function switch. If you have it in the on position it only disables the Receive Decode tone of 150 CPS the transceiver always transmits a 150 tone code regardless of position. ,if it's in the on position another 77 will still decode and hear you Regardless of there squelch position, also any of the old family radios PRC-10 and Prc 6 will be heard by the 77 as they don't have 150 CPS tones that was the purpose of the two different positions "on" equals old squelch but still transmits 150 CPS for any 77 or 524 that are listening.Jim KB1PFL
Hi Jim, Good to know, thanks for sharing that. I wasn't entirely sure how it behaved on the real thing. The video was meant to show how the ACRE2 mod had implemented the feature on the radio and how it could be expected to behave at the time the video was made. Beyond a quick look at the updated UI I've not had much opportunity to play with the 77 in ACRE2 since making this video so I can't say if it has been updated to behave more like you described or if it still behaves as described in the video. Given the age of the video, there have been a few updates to the mod over the last 3 years including an updated UI shown on the documentation page for the 77 acre2.idi-systems.com/wiki/radios/an-prc-77
Man the model looks cool but I saw some high detailed view of this, in-game it looks pretty shit because of the lighting. Other than the lighting it looks pretty neat!
Hey, a 3 year old comment! Yeah at the time I made this the 77 was a recent addition to ACRE2 and the UI was already being updated. There have been a few updates to the mod over the last 3 years including an updated UI shown on the documentation page for the 77 acre2.idi-systems.com/wiki/radios/an-prc-77
Looks neat, whatever the hell it is. Though, why do we have robots on mars but that thing only has an up and down button? That's infuriatingly ridiculous.
Truth be told, it kinda scares me that modders have recreated the MBITR so faithfully, everything about the interface here is exactly how a real one works.
It simply goes to show that NOTHING is off limits. Even though the originals are supposed to be crushed, many will stray. "They/this company/China" obviously got their hands on one, and like every single other thing manufactured in the world, they copied it, except for the amount of spectrum it covers. If I'm not mistaken, this just does VHF\UHF but no 220MHz or Low-Band. Either way, while its obviously meant to be field programmable, I MUCH prefer setting up all parameters with programming software.
This was not run by UOTC, myself and the other instructors made a previously closed training session open to UO members and guests. We may look at doing another session in the new year however, it's heavily dependent on our schedules and the number of sign ups.
