Bike and gear reviews and builds, race breakdowns and more! A Portuguese 28 year old, from Portugal, living in Boise, ID. Been riding bikes for over a decade, having swam most of my live, it took me going through a triathlon phase to find my passion in cycling. Now I'm just trying to be the best cyclist and content creator I can be. Follow me to see the journey unfold. I plan on sharing mostly racing and gear videos but there will be much more than "just" that.
Hi! Great setup. The fork bearing is tightened without the stem already, is it? So you do not need the top cap to tighten the bearing, it's just for the look, right? Also, what frame size are you riding?
In my case, I ride an L frame (bc relative long legs and shorter torso), so I'm thinking of mounting a shorter stem (off-factory is 70 mm, I think of going back to 40 or 50)
Hey André! Would you ever consider racing in the 5-day team stage race on indieVelo? 6 stages over 5 consecutive days called the “indieVelo Grand Tour” GC, mountain, and sprint jerseys to fight for and it would make for really entertaining content! I’ll post again a link to the road book and discord in case you are interested!
Hey guys when you're talking about riders please describe them better so we know who you are talking about. Thanks. Great footage! Looking forward to the next one.
Is there a reason you didn't lay off the sprint and let your teammate overtake you? I'm only asking because you said getting him points for his cat1 upgrade was the goal.
great question! when I looked to my right I couldn’t tell if the other guy was ahead of him or not so I decided to not risk it. he agrees with my decision :)
@@StachePower makes sense. Yeah, a little hard sometimes to determine that while sprinting. I think if it was me, I would've laid off still because your teammate would still get an extra point or two if you finish behind him and this is also a training race, I think? Haha I don't fault you at all - I was just curious. Any good teammate would tell you that you did the right thing there too, so you have a good teammate haha 👍
Nice video André! Ryan is doing awesome this year, he won the Masters race later that same evening. I find the sprint to be so short on these crits that it is best to already be first wheel at the last turn and be on the inside, but of course that also depends on what your strong suit is.
Thanks for the inspiration btw. I built up my grail the exact same. Managed to scoop up a canyon v13 stem for like 10 bucks on sale too which was nice. Rides a lot better than the double decker 👌
