Ganz ehrlich, sowas kann und darf eigentlich nicht passieren, wenn man ein routinierter Pilot ist... Stichwort "Muscle memory" Stichwort " Groundhandling"...wenn so jemand in bockige Frühjahrsthermik kommt wars das. Null Feeling fürs Material... Aber ist vielleicht auch dem schlechten Ausbildungsstandard geschuldet...ich finde, das gehört reformiert, dann würde sowas vielleicht weniger passieren 😊

Haha, how many loops there can be 😅. Well handled anyways! This also happened to me couple of times (though not as badly). On the last time it happened, I broke my hip in due to it. After the injury, the tangling has not been an issue anymore, because the injury has caused some extra paranoia to douple check the lines. (I have also utilized this effective "learning technique" to other safety matters in paragliding too 😂)
The video does not show the initial approach, but it does look like you fly in at the downwind end of the field, rather than losing height upwind and then flying a normal constant aspect approach. This increases your tendency to take too much brake in order to bring the glider down in what is an enormous landing field. I've only ever taken 2 wraps practicing SATS. 1 wrap for stalls. Did someone teach you to do that?

Taking two wraps doesn’t help. You have lots of grassy space to land. Why pull so much brakes to stall 5 ft in the air. Just fly and flare 1-2 foot off the ground and hold it.
Nice calm flying. You can always steer with the brakes above the wheels or use the C’s. Always good to practice with these two options in ground handling. Thanks for sharing
Arrh. To much brake on approach. Feel the need for speed. Less important but was the approach higher than you wanted it too be, so trying to slow down to avoid using up too much of the field or landing too far away from the gate? Just a thought.
I was not sure about the wind direction and ended up with some back wind. There was a thermal in front that provided some lift and I wasn't descending very much. To much break solved that.

There are ways (visual check, how to take brakes, ...) to be sure there is no mess before launching. 1. take your time 2. look from the carabiner to make sure elevator is straight. brake elevator should face you 3. take brake in hand ; don't forget that while solving this issue, you cannot feel and prevent a collapse. Avoid it.
bit heavy on the brakes, and it stalled just before touchdown. Not so bad just go easy on the brakes, but you probably know that. Part of the game carry on :)
Hey, thanks for the video, always interesting ! It seems first and most important mistake is that when finaling you were not facing wind, which is coming from your right (clearly pushing you the left side, which you are trying to fight off by shortening your right brake). Do you agree ? Had you been facing the wind, you would have been both hands up. Tx
OJE.... da hast du wohl den Bremsweg überschätzt von deinem Schirm! Hast aber noch sehr viel Glück gehabt, dass du einen Basis Anfänger Schirm fliegst.... wenn du sowas bei einem höhreren Gerät machst kannst gleich den Bestatter rufen! Aber ich muss sagen mir wäre das auch fast passiert als ich von A auf High-B gewechselt bin weil man gewohnt war einfach viel Weg zu haben! Aber dass da nach 25-30 cm schon der Schirm abreißt war nit klar! Weiterhin viel aufpassen und wickeln nur wenn du wirklich in einen Fullstall zur Störungsbehebuung willst! In einem SIV kannst du das super üben.... lg aus Südtirol

Es verwundert mich immer wieder, je "erfahrener" der Pilot, desto weiter entfernt er sich vom gelernten. Offensichtlich meint man dann, es besser zu wissen. Da wird gebremst im Endanflug statt die Hände hoch zu nehmen oder abgeachtert statt Position, Gegen-, Quer- und den Endanflug zu fliegen.
Bei stärkerem Wind ist bei fliegen ohne Motor abachtern immer eine Option. Sollte nicht als peinlich gelten. Natürlich ist die Landevolte falls möglich zu bevorzugen.
Gegen Abachtern ist überhaupt nichts einzuwenden um sicher zu landen... Der Vorteil ist, dass zu jedem Zeitpunkt der Landepunkt angepeilt bleibt und man zu jedem Zeitpunkt gegen den Wind fliegt. Sind viele Piloten in der Luft ist natürlich die klassische Variante eindeutiger nachzuvollziehen
