This UK, Leeds based channel mainly features dash cam & chest cam video clips from Zimbabwe & other places around the world, I'm yet to visit. Please do not expect this channel to copy a style or theme of another channel which you may think is a model of how it should be done. As my nephew in Zimbabwe often tells me whenever I suggest something crazy, "We don't do that here".
Thanks for sharing this video. We were in Harare for 25 days in 1998, and the first place we ate was at the Londoner. We sat at the first table, left of the door. I never thought I'd ever see that again. Wow what great memories this brings. Thank you soooooo much!
I do miss Zimbabwe, lived there from 1979 to 1993. Started in Bulawayo to Hwange to Norton and lastly in Harare. Lived in Avondale, off King George Road. Was the best years of life from the age of 16 to 30. Spent many hours at East24/putt putt and at the drive in cinema at Mabelreign
I 100% agree. I even thought the same thing to myself kuti why dont I order some led light massive AD screens from China & offer to vahara that whole side with them but I then remembered kuti vanhu vacho would steal the idea to do it themselves
The fascist speech Nazis of RU-vid didn't like my comment about Burger King so it got auto deleted. This one might get shadow banned. I'm so sick of this crap with RU-vid being speech dictators. Anyway... as my comment said... I saw that Burger King coming soon sign and I immediately thought: NO! NO NO NO NO!! My country wants the entire world to eat garbage food and be overweight and unhealthy. Other countries need to say "NO" to these U.S. corporate giants.
I saw that Burger King "coming soon" sign and my first reaction was: NO! NO, NO NO, NO and NO! My country wants the entire world to be overweight and unhealthy. African governments need to say "NO" to these corporations.
Prices of those sandwiches are very similar to the U.S. Or is it because it's an airport and the prices are jacked up? I found Istanbul to also be similar to the U.S. with their prices.
Such lovely Jacarandas......Merry Christmas to you Fibo. You certainly won't feel hot up north this year. If you obtain more 4K video equipment can you switch to 60FPS? That would be perfect.
I felt very scared for you driving in the dark like that. I’m not even tempted to drive and I will have to use a friend to drive me around when going out to clubs cos this is scary. I definitely want to see what interesting things you mentioned. I will be in Zimbabwe next week on Saturday. What good night clubs and bars to go to in cbd?
I used to enjoy driving at night around Harare when the roads were good & there was street lighting but its now very stressful. The only two clubs I can recommend in the CBD is Eclipse & the now renovated club at Net One building. I forgot the name but its lit. Besides them two, there are now other clubs all over Harare
It was expensive at US$40/Day because I arrived in Harare just before the Heroes Holiday & all car hire companies had no cars. They later gave me a better car at a discount though
The blue sky and the jacarandas tell me it is! Far better than the north of England in winter. Is Highlands School still there? Went there as a kid - then Oriel if you ever drive by Chisipite.
The desperation to see these “boots on the ground” scenes of home says post it all! But the reality of the negative effect of sub par videos on a growing channel demands that only high quality videos be posted, right!? What a quandary!
You're 100% right there. I have so many videos with good content which I cant post for that reason. My camera let me down big time & I've since bought a Go Pro camera for my next trip.
From memory there used to be a cafeteria with seating space close to a children's playground that had swings, a roundabout and a amenity called the "witches hat" - at one time there was an aeroplane as well. Presumably all this has gone. Also, the park had a mini waterfall.
