Are you paying extra just for the "relic ing" or is is the guitar a bit better than the non relic?

The guitar definitely feels superior, in terms of feel: the neck is different, more comfortable and ergonomic, and in terms of the overall sound of the instrument, better dynamics. There seems to be a little more "love" in general.

Being an owner of this guitar I can attest that it is a superb instrument. It’s not just great for the money, it is just flat out great. Since getting it about a year ago I have been playing it far more than my 2 MIM Fenders. The neck is amazing and makes playing it easy and just results having a lot of fun playing as you aren’t fighting the instrument.
