Welcome to the Young & MacKenzie Distribution RU-vid Channel. We are here to bring videos to all our Canadian dealers and customers of the great brands we have available: Woolpower Thermal Wear from Sweden, Helle Knives of Norway and Trangia cookstoves from Sweden.
Heart of every knife is steel and most important for the steel is heat treatment. This video is informative on getting familiar how much manual work is still being used for Helle products, which is great, but isn't telling nothing on the steel they use for their blades.
Very cool, some smart people. They one invented and built some very nice machines, heavy duty that will last as long as their knives do . I think everyone has wanted one and just are waiting until the right time to get one .
It's nice to see where my Helle Harding came from. Kudos to Helle for making all their knives & even the sheaths in their workshop in beautiful Norway! **This is why I bought the Harding & because it's gorgeous to look at & use.
I have a helle sigmund, same as in the video. My buddies all like using it when we're cleaning fish and deer. 3 of my buddies bought helle knives after using mine. Lot of farm boys around here are putting there buck knives away in favor of helle. Back to our roots, as most of us here in Northern Wisconsin are of norwegian stock.
Hola!
Being a puukko maker i can really appreciate a well made knife like this, it was great to see the steps they use and the end result. I have to do it all the hard way, by hand, understandably the machining speeds up the entire process. Thank you for posting this!
Very absorbing video, totally engrossed from the start well done to the film makers and long may Helle continue,i had occasion to carry one everyday when i was at sea 'the constant companion' is a wonderful description
One interesting thing is they sharpen their knives before putting the handle on. I watched a Bark River video and they sharpen last for safety reasons.
