This was excellent information, thanks! It's now Sept 2024, these three models are available in the US for less than $100 each. Another youtuber, SmokingApe, plotted out the transmission waveform and showed these have very clean signals for GMRS.
I looked into the 256bit key with macsec. The key must be 32bit, and you must pass the 256 bit cipher on the command line. To generate a 32-bit key use: hexdump -n 32 -e '4/4 "%08x" 1 " "' /dev/random It will generate two lines. 1c5fc3761117e3b070d9a0f597d240bd d27dd1b810c090f572165506685e57d4 Combine the two lines into one. 1c5fc3761117e3b070d9a0f597d240bdd27dd1b810c090f572165506685e57d4 use the gcm-aes-256 cipher when creating the macsec0 link. ip link add link enp1s0 macsec0 type macsec cipher gcm-aes-256 encrypt on The other instructions are the same.
I use the MFJ-4230MVP 30 amp power supply for my HF radio. I use a AC - cig adapter for the power on the g90. The G90 uses less than an amp in receive. 6 amps max transmitting at 20 watts.
Man, thanks you so much, i was breaking my sound for pulse audio echo cancellation but you provided a solution that works so many that it's better. Hope you are going well since the post :).
VERY valuable video (as has been the case with every one of them I've watched). Wouldn't mind your expertise using wget to do the same thing. I was late pulling 9.3 down and now it's vaulted (no rsync options that I can see). I can't seem to be as "surgical" as I'd like in pulling down just BaseOS, AppStream, plus and extras Despite the switches I send to the process, it pulls down way more than I want.
Did you ever notice that when you start up your DB20G it says "Anytone" on the screen? Because mine does hahaha (Or at least, did, before I changed the welcome screen)
COst for GMRS License has gone down to $35 --- few weeks ago I applied and got it via email a few days later. Still learning about this GMRS stuff -- I was a CB Guy for a long time years ago. Nice Video... Learned a few things from you. :)) WSBU229 Over and Out .. :)
I have an FT991A. I have tried all those settings with no success. I am using a new Windows 11 pc which I think is the problem. I wish I had a win 10 PC.
I dont know what xtables are. I use iptables. Ive been told twice that iptables is the viewer or gui or user console for nftables, dont know yet. Yep thats correct. Didnt know that. Debian calls iptables a utility but says the underlying engine is nftables. It changed for some reason along the line. Guess ill start learning the syntax difference. Oh its converting the iptables to nftables looking at nftables list. But I dont know yet if I can write packet inspection rules in iptables, may have to be done in nftables. I use string and match in iptables, but havnt tried packet header inspection in iptables yet. Also use suricata for that in IPS mode.
@@randomtech2951 Just confirming, I want to build it for a staticly linked special project that only needs a couple of specific pieces. Though I might go with another library just due to the unreadable mess of openssl's source code and API.
Very interesting. However, in Debian (with gnome graphical environment) appears the follow message when I add a noise reduction filter: "Noise reduction is not available. RNNoise is not installed on the system." Does anyone could give a tip about how can I solve this? I have tried to find the RNNoise using apt search with no success.
I am getting an error while upgrading openssl 3.0.5 using docker file : undefined reference to `evp_cipher_fetch',EVP_MD_get_size, can anyone help me to know why I am getting this error
Thanks a lot for the video! I am facing some issues with the gsad service. I did exactly like you did in the video but, when I save the gsad.service (with all the new parameters) and run the systemctl daemon-reload, the gsad.service keeps restarting in loop. whenever I call its status, I sometimes get it as active, other time as activating. Therefore, my gsad service doesn´t show at the ss -utlpn command. Would you have some guess at what I doing wrong?
I have heard, but not confirmed, that Retevis Ra25 will not accept code plugs made from the Radioddity or Anytone software; while the Radioddity and Anytone code plugs are interchangeable with each other.
@@randomtech2951 That is correct; the Anytone and the Radioddity will accept code plugs generated from each other's software. The anomaly is the Retevis Ra25.
As you did read the discription, why did you not say what network cards your router has? Because those check boxes should only be used by people who have cards that not properly support this in the BSD driver.
15 seconds into the video I say this is a virtual machine. At the 4:06 mark I show the pfsense screen that says it is a driver issue. Thanks for watching.
@@randomtech2951 It is a Realrek chip based cards and NOT pfSense issue. Pfsense recognize that and provide a way to circuvent Realtek problem. You did not say that. You should always use Intel chip based network cards with pfSense. They work great and you do NOT NEED to disable hardware checksum offload nor TCP segmentation offload.
