Prime Howard dominated all big men in the league, except those all star big men, like Yao, Shaq, KG, Duncan, in other words, if a big man is strong and have some basic skills of post moves, he will dominate 90% of the center in modern NBA.
the dwight i saw with the lakers was nowhere near the dwight of orlando. that was the biggest disappointment. perhaps it was injuries, but dwight on effort alone could have made a bigger defensive impact. his head was in the wrong place
This guy just get to the rim with ease. It's crazy it's cause he's strong and his size not a lot of centers can move fast like that to if he can make hsi FT and post moves this dude will be sooooooooooo goood man....which he is already a injured howard still number 1 in the NBA. thats saying smoething I mean I know he's getting a lot of heat right now look on the bright side this off season will be more entertaining since LeBron, Melo, etc.
For sure, mid-range jumpers can be invaluable for big guys, and he actually showed a few flashes last season. Bothers me when people suggest he has no post game though, when he really just has a very limited one. If he would just get used to using his lefty jumphook and dropstep as go-to moves...
In a straight-up block attempt/take charge, I think D12 can stop Lebron. However, Lebron has an insane amount of body control in the air and could probably finish over D12 if his feet aren't set or Lebron plays it really well. Either way, it's an extremely exciting matchup.
um....yes Howard can, Lebron is strong, but not Howard strong plus Howard's length and jumping ability is more than enough to make lebron alter his shot if he doesn't want to get blocked to the next decade.
