The Department of Health and Human Services manages the delivery of health- and human-related services for all North Carolinians, especially our most vulnerable citizens - children, elderly, disabled and low-income families. The Department works closely with health care professionals, community leaders and advocacy groups; local, state and federal entities; and many other stakeholders to make this happen.
The Department is divided into 33 divisions and offices. NCDHHS divisions and offices fall under six broad service areas - Health, Opportunity and Well-Being, Medicaid, Operational Excellence, Policy and Communications and Health Equity.
NCDHHS also oversees 14 facilities: developmental centers, neuro-medical treatment centers, psychiatric hospitals, alcohol and drug abuse treatment centers, and two residential programs for children.

The fact that the government isn’t using tax dollars to improve filtration systems for the public is a disgrace. There should be no allowable limit for anything that is potentially harmful. At least the Chinese make their goods affordable to their citizens. The “MADE IN THE USA” filtration system is the most expensive on the market. It really is a disgrace and our officials all need to be kicked out of office and laws drawn up against lobbying, special interests as well as consequences for not enforcing the law. But I guess that will never happen as long as the mafia monkeys run the show.
And at least the Chinese government doesn’t make it blatantly obvious they even have a mafia. What I mean is they take measure to secure their citizens welfare.
I know that Terry is no longer with us but if I could say anything to her I would tell her Thank You for being my inspiration to quit. Not only do I have a daughter and husband that cared but that there was this lady who through her story was speaking volumes to me that I needed to quit also. So on Easter Sunday of this year I decided to do this very same thing ….and have had not had one setback of wanting to start back up…I can smell, taste and breathe again..after 35/40 years of a nasty habit I am free again. With a loving daughter and husband cheering me on and meds that actually worked and for the memory of terry saving lives each day till she died she had saved one more ….me. So to her I say thank you so much for saving my life. I hope to meet you at the rainbow bridge and shake your hand….❤
Ugg I opened roads acct and all it does is everytime I try to apply for foodstamps I sign in and all I see is my profile and screen freezes no tabs to apply for food stamps! What a waste! Now I gotta find a way to office 25 minutes by car away! Why do they expect poor people to run ragged- I can’t walk on a freeway! I’ll get arrested for that!!
Same and some asshole got paid big bucks making this shit site now I have acct with epass for no god damn reason. Every time I try to apply for food stamps it just tells me sign in for epass i do and I’m stuck just looking at my profile name on a screen and no tabs to apply wtf?
This epass crap THAT NOBODY ASKED FOR should have been integrated into the system FOR EVERYONE instead of asking people to do it themselves just for the system to keep kicking it back forcing people to go to the dhs office. Heres your L.
Yeah all these tabs don’t even show up on the screen after you sign in with epass user name and password. All I get is a screen with my name displayed and no way to apply. Whoopi ding dong I signed it to see my name on a screen. Wtf!? Massachusetts sucked but their foodstamps and Medicaid programs were fast and fair
