I love what you’re doing with all the vintage ‘50s and ‘60s cards. Absolutely great stuff. If I had more cards from that era I would do the same. I’ve picked up a few here and there on eBay and sent them but it’s tough to find some at affordable prices.
@merlintocs Thanks! If it wasn't for the selection at local card shop, it wouldn't be affordable for me. I pick up most 50's & 60's cards for $1 or $2, and a lot of late 60's & 70's cards for 50 cents each.
Bobby Valentine kept my 1978 Topps and signed and returned my 1977 Topps. I wonder if he only signs the oldest card? Unfortunately I'm working on the 1978 set 😢
@jamiemadden3129 I just saw your comment on SportsCardForum when I logged in my return. I just started my 1987 set (I think I have around 50), so we are in a similar situation.
Thanks for sharing Bob, great returns. Really like the Tartabull and thanks for the update on Bob Humphreys. Got him back RTS a couple weeks ago. Keep up the great videos.
@@jamesgerwigjr9394 okay, that makes sense. I didn't remember seeing that lined out stuff before, but I've overlooked the back on some old cards I've sent off.
Showing that love for Coach Fratello! I was so sad as a kid when he resigned at the end of the 1990 season. His nickname is The Czar of the Telecaster, by the way.😊👍
The cards themselves present really well. Not a lot of dark photos, from what all I can remember. These should turn out well. Not sure if I have any in my collection.
@sneakyquick that's a good plan! I bought a bunch of early 80's sets at start of year, so I'm filling some holes. 87 Donruss had some nice cards to pair with some 87 Topps guys I want to send out, so that was my most recent purchase. I'm not a huge fan of all the blue on 88 Fleer though.
Hey Bob new subscriber I used to do TTM back in the late 80's I was trying to complete an 87 topps and traded set. I have about 60% of the 87 and 65% of the traded. I was watching one of your video and you received autos from Mike Dunne. I don't remember why but he won't sign that 87 topps traded. He eluded me for years I tried multiple times and even tried in person and I finally gave up. I just wanted to share that with you that its not a recent thing. I night start up again to fill in spome of the players I need. I saw on your videos some players that I need like Thad Bosley he never signed TTM back then.
@OceanCardsandCollectables awesome! It's been fun tracking down TTMs of 87 Topps Traded. Another person I've found that doesn't sign his 87TT is Jeff Reed. He doesn't sign anything earlier than 88 for some reason. As for Dunne, I thought about slipping a $20 in the envelope to see if he'd sign it. I want to get more of the set completed before I try it.
@chrisandchriscollectingcar8778 I had muted expectations about getting a return from him. I guess I just got him on a good day. My letter wasn't overly praising, mostly just complimented his managing skills and how his teams were always fundamentally sound and hustled.
Absolutely great returns here. I need to get something out to Larry Stahl as he lives about 20 minutes from me and I had no idea! Keep up the good videos, man. I’m really enjoying them.
@merlintocs thanks! I only wrote to Brent Gaff back in May only because he lives 10 minutes from me. I only had an 85 Topps and I got it back a few weeks later.
@@SweetBobAWB new to your channel (and relatively new to TTM). Appreciate the video and I’m currently watching your 91 UD video. I feel like we probably grew up around the same era
Great returns! Love the 87 Traded Bowa and the 81 Traded Rick Reuschel. Love the traded set! I'm going to be sending a bunch of traded/rookie sets out soon.
@Bostnfn I'm a fan of Topps Traded sets. I now have every Bill Almon Topps Traded cards signed. He had 5 Traded cards, which is weird (81, 83, 85, 87 & 88).
@@momopredator71 I've thought about doing this with 1988 Donruss. All my 88 Donruss cards are pretty wrecked from my childhood. The set is super cheap as well. 90 Score wouldn't be a bad pick either. I know lots of rookies sign from that set. My brother got a set recently and already has some returns back.
@raiderprty thanks for that info. My 1987 card collection is verrrry Topps heavy, and that's what I've been focusing on getting signed. I don't think I ever heard his name before. I may need to get his Fleer now.
Thanks! I know signing regularity changes and sometimes guys just randomly quit signing altogether, but I figured this will help some people out, even if the info will change over time.
@KeithBartz I wish I knew how to edit or I'd put them on screen. I use addresses on Sportscardforum.com , so I use the most up-to-date addresses on there for the whichever person I send. I log all my mailings and returns on there, so you can see them in that person's page. My username is Sweetbob if you want to make sure which address I used for a specific person.
@@kevinsavagebasketball14 Wow, thank you for the kind words. I want to keep posting videos that I myself would want to see, especially when I started doing TTMs.
@ChrisGulley-qb6dq Thanks! I do a lot of this when I buy a set anyways (minus the exact $ for guys who charge), so I figured it would help others if I made a video.
@oldcardboard3647 I did not send a fee for him. I wasn't aware that he asks for a donation until after I posted this video. Someone else asked me about that as well. I'm normally knowledgeable on who charges, but I didn't know about him.
Very nice returns. I wanted to add on the Joel Skinner. Mid June this year I received a 4/4 return in 11 days from Mr. Skinner, so results do vary. Again nice haul and thanks for sharing!
@momopredator71 yeah, he's signing multiples now. He had a stretch when it looked like he was getting tired of signing. Sent a couple submissions back unsigned back in late April maybe.
The RU-vid algorithm got me here and glad it did. Great returns. Love the Pilots cards. Very nice Jeff George as well. Subbing to your channel as well.
@chrisandchriscollectingcar8778 awesome! I was prepared for a triple-digit day wait for George, so I was happy to get it after a couple months. As for the Pilots cards, I've been on a vintage card splurge of late. I've sent to a ton of guys from 60's.
Back in the day George used to be a great signer but lately I have struck out. I’ve sent to him twice I think since 2016 and can’t recall getting a return. Glad you got him back though.
Congratulations on the 100 subscriber milestone! Great returns this week. Kayla Harrison was my favorite as well. I got her TTM years ago and she actually sent me a custom judo card. Keep the videos coming and thanks for sharing.
@@momopredator71 Thanks! I'm surprised she hasn't been slammed with TTMs, but that will for sure happen when she gets official UFC cards released. She was a beast at UFC 300.
Cool, I drive through that area when I go up to Niles sometimes. I didn't go through PastPros for Spinks. I wasn't aware he goes through them, as I didn't send a fee to have these signed
@purecollector99400 Thanks! I still have plenty vintage out to be signed. I can't send them out fast enough. I get them back in roughly ten days to fourteen days. Many older players enjoy the whole TTM process.
