As the title says, I consider myself a casual gamer. Winning is not the reason I play games, although it is nice on occasion. I play games to have fun, laugh with friends and to have an enjoyable experience. Gaming has been a hobby of mine for most of my life, and now making videos sporadically is a fun way to share the hobby.
My goal is to provide unboxing videos, and play-throughs for games that can be played solo, or "how to play" for other games so that viewers can get an idea if a game is ideal for them or not.
Certain games will play better with the right group of people. Personally, I prefer games that have player interaction and a bit of randomness, also known as "Ameri-Trash". My day job is very much like a "Euro" game, so I tend to stay away from heavy Euro's.
Great video! My friend and I played tonight. We had things mostly right, with some errors. It's really nice to confirm things we weren't sure about and fix what we did wrong. Thank you!
Your correction about the mob weapon is incorrect....you did things correctly. It specifically says and shows a picture with just the dice available so mob weapon actions or effects only happen when a player is using those weapons. Mobs dont use abilities....nothing in the rule book mentions it and it seems to be community consensus
Great video, Dale! Thanks as always for the playthrough. Can I ask where you grabbed that 3 stack card holder you used for the market? I'd love to grab a couple of those.
Hey Dale! I think that I can speak for many people when I say that you are the #1 reason why I got into this game! Your play throughs answered so many questions that I had concerning many characters! Fantasy Flight owes you big time for turning people onto this game! I really hope that you return some day with playthroughs with the many newer sets that have been released.
@@draco15515 They are UberStax and you can find purchase information for them at www.uberstax.com . I also did a video highlighting them at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HBNRANBuKS4.html and a handy attachment tray at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dyC9jiuOrwc.html . Hope that helps and happy gaming! :)
Wow. What a terrible game, but good RPG. Other than Grit I don't think you made a single decision. For reference my 3 favorite games are Mage Knight, Too Many Bones, and Marvel Champions. Glad i watched this before wasting a lot of money and time to build this thing. Thanks.
First time you used Gandalf, you put him to your hand. That's not according the rules. Gandalf has to go discarted, not back to your hand. That's crucial because now you couldn't do the combo with sneak attack...
My only questions... at 13:20 when Bomb Scare comes out... Rhino has 4 threat level, then this card enter with 3 threat level. Since it's a total of 7, would you have lost the game? Or are the threat levels not all combined together? I noticed that Bomb Scare doesn't have a maximum threat level listed on it.
This video makes me regret never picking this up. Now I will need to try and get this. I hope there is a decent amount of good expansions. Thanks for the video! Miss your content brother!
Can’t believe you didn’t like TMB it’s so well made and fun. Not too cumbersome to play or set up. It also plays really quick once you get the rules down. The component quality is also the best of any board game I’ve ever seen. Now once you get all the expansions it gets pretty hefty though. All the characters and bosses feel so unique and the replayability is solid. I get not every game is resonate with every person but it just seems like a game up your alley.
Can definitely see why he’s the worst character in the game. Really unfortunate too bc he’s such an awesome character in the comics. Big numbers are always fun though.
I hated how on the box it doesn't clearly let you know "Set to Watch" is actually a different game all together... I had to go to BGG to figure that out..
Just realized that both energy channel in the deck while it says max 1 per player. am i getting it wrong or for captain marvel, her decks are only allowed to play for 14 instead of 15.
2:14 - Note that a player does not have to have all their Units placed out in order to take a Regroup turn. Just clarifying since so many worker placement games force a strict structure of placing workers out then having a "dead turn" of their workers coming home. A Regroup turn in Dwellings of Eldervale is often a bigger turn with the player placing Units on their Tableau Cards to trigger special actions they have gained by going to the Dungeon. A well timed Regroup does not necessarily sync up with how many Units you have available to place into Eldervale at the time. :) Dale, thanks so much for sharing this excellent introduction to playing Ghosts of Eldervale - the solo play variant of Dwellings of Eldervale!
