Hot-swappable switches would be cool as well. Such a cool project with good suggestions all around from others. I kinda hope you come back around to this at some point but I can understand life happens/just moving on with other things.

Just wanted to say nice work you put into this. Just the core functionality that's already there is great. Thanks for sharing the source and whatnot if people were so inclined to dig through and possibly create something themselves.

From search seems like you graduated from MIT with Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering in 2022, and continued to get your Masters in Mechanical Engineering at same school which is understandable that this project can fall by the wayside. What i find worrysome is if you started your Masters program in sept 2022, and your last post on git is May 2023 it got me checking obitutarys. At least do a video to let people know your alive or not.

Amazing work! I would like to buid it too. Just one question: did you develop a multitrack mode? I dont ser it in the demos or in your writings. Would be a pity if not. That would make this machine not really usable.did you work on this? If yes, i will try my luck bulding this and will ve more than happy to make a donnation for your beautiful work!

That is incredible man. I read your dev logs. I come from a small town and sell quality electronics and rent out test gear here in nova Scotia and if you had a pcb left id make it worth your while. More than worth your while. If youre interested drop me an email. Ive got some quality meters and id let one go as appreciation for the board (which id pay the post). I have a hectic life as of late and dont have the time to design such an elaborate pcb. Im probably the most honest person in the world and im not the type to hoard gear as i usually send free electronics learning kits to random people in canada or the us. No pressure, great job brother. I have everything from extra ul certified meters to rc aftermarket parts and kits along with everything in between.

Wow man. Slick. Ive been wondering what to do with a 4.1 ive upgraded the flash on. Id love to make a vocoder to go into my effects loop on my line 6 or a midi interface for recording basic drum tracks (i can then go into and tweak depending on the time signatures i play in) and adding some synth to the music i record.

I built this project and it works very well except I'm not able to see my sample wav files stored on the sdcard. When I record audio from the mic, line input or radio it records and stores the raw audio files in the "Recs" directly on the sdcard correctly. The wav files are stored in a directory named "Samples" on the sdcard so I'm not sure why they don't show up when I'm in the SAMPL menu. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm hoping that you are still working on this for all the people who cant afford TE products (there are many). You mentioned on git that you were outgrowing Arduino IDE and switching to VSCode and Platformio. Did that stall the project? Any updates would be appreciated by the community because this to me at least, is the equivalent to a blilliant student on the brink of a cold fusion breakthrough only to go silent for 2 years...

Really interesting. Playing around with the idea of creating my own electronic drum kit module as a stand alone box..no midi. Be easy to make a crappy one...just wondering if you had any idea of how you would add velocity sensitivity to the pad hits, that would trigger round robins..say 8 snare samples, depending on the velocity the pad was hit, soft hit would trigger low volume sample etc. triggers are piezo and piezo puts out different voltage when struck with different force. At first i thought this was an easy project..would if it were just sending midi to a plugin. It dawned on me that a drum module is a sampler with velocity sensitive pads And a midi output...

@stevemacpherson8510
@stevemacpherson8510 Год назад
@@jrlening hi, it was not easy getting the components and I had to over pay for most things. One thing that maybe a problem is the 512mb flash chip but I have a alternative pary to try. But the answer to your question is: farnell, mouser, Amazon, eBay, jlcpcb, opencircuit. If you build one let us all know how you get on.

Hey Prajwal! Im Julian and from GER. Im a big fan of Teenage Engineering. So your project is the coolest thing i have seen for a Long Time. Pls say this project is still on service? I´m sooo interested to build my own OP-1 Clone but i need clearly instructions 😄 Thanks for your awesome work! You´re a real hero!

Hi there, very interested in building this after building the LMN-3. Are you coming out with a newer version or is this build still good if all the parts can be sourced? I know some of the items are discontinued on Digi-Key.

Is there anyway, that you can add a “Dice” function, like you can see on GarageBand smart drums? I’d like a hardware sampler/sequencer, but with a Dice function, that randomly generates a sequence… I feel by removing one or two samples, I can create grooves I like faster…. Problem is, GarageBand is software, and not a piece of hardware, and within GarageBand, when using the dice function, you are stuck with apple sounds, instead of being able to, load .wav files, hit the dice button, and create a random sequence….

Now that Teenage Engineering is being put thru the wringer for O(ver) P(ricing) the new OP-1, this project is more relevant than ever. You could probably make some decent money just building these and undercutting them.
