You will note that none of those dragster frams broke in half in those severe accidents These days they seem to regularly break purely with accleration. Clearly they are doing something wrong!
They are doing nothing less than strapping themselves onto a bomb and hoping for the best. A very fast moving bomb at that. It is indeed an awesome show.
nascar14fan Sure it would. They could have a maximum speed, like 50 mph, and the goal would be to see who could reach that speed the fastest. Then there wouldn't be so many bad accidents, which would be safer.
