My wife always wanted to be a Vet, but she was intellectually challenged, so ended up working as a Walmart cashier; she fulfils her fantasy of being a Vet when she wears a disposable shoulder-length glove and performs a hour long bowel examination to me by inserting all of her gloved arm inside my back-passage.
I usually don't comment, but I have to share this. I was in the woods and needed to crap so I ducked off. Got crozy with my stance, and this devil owl basically did the rest.
Dear Dr. John Arthington, Professor and Center Director, UF/IFAS Range Cattle Research and Education Center, Ona, good evening. How can I access your powerpoint or pdf presentation?
JBR.
Dear Dr. John Arthington, Professor and Center Director, UF/IFAS Range Cattle Research and Education Center, Ona, good evening. How can I access your powerpoint or pdf presentation?. Thanks in advance. JAVIER BETANCOURT
If you have a sucker herd I think the bill is the surest,if a fairy herd then much easier to defect heat,if a big herd of cattle both ways is best used in myview.
All this feeding, vaxing, and worming has you selecting for high maintainence cattle, pampered, non survivable, business friendly profit centers for pfizer, monsanto, adm, cargill, and their cronies. Besides, if you 'worm' your cattle by poisoning the worms in the animal, you poison your whole fields, all your earthworms, nematodes and and knows what else, wreck the fertility and nutrition cycle of the soil, and then wonder why your cows need all this medicine
Western horse thistle, silver leaf nightshade are the main ones I'm trying to control in hay pastures. Add Pig weed And Broom weed and wooly croton in a most grazing pastures.
PS we did implement FWC Biologist and FDAC Forester recommendation on 3 row cut of our loblolly pine last fall. We have not done any control burning as yet. We may not due to the cost to have this done, and will probably invest in a forestry mulcher tool that we can run on our tractor. We have plenty of open area and space between tree rows and open fields where we can plant food plots specifically for quail.
Dr. Vinicius de Souza welcome to Yopal, Casanare, Colombia in order to run your study over black cattle and White Angus catle located at Ecuatorial zone - 5° North Latitud.
When we rotate crops we allow some fields to fallow. We grow sunn hemp and let the cattle graze it down. Then what's left we press down and then plant the next crop. The cattle leave thier droppings as fertilizer. A win win.
How cool, I have a few of these guys who follow me sometimes and I uploaded to channel. I thought it was a baby screech owl learning to screech, guess not Thanks for upload and God Bless
When I lived in Cooper city these guys were like landmines. You would be just walking down the sidewalk with your dog at night and suddenly you are assaulted with a blood curdling screech of an owl burrowed under the sidewalk
I would like to contact Dr. John Arthington, Professor and Center Director at the UF/IFAS Range Cattle Research and Education Center in Ona. I am investigating all of the White Angus Breed in order to clarify 3 White Angus commercial bulls pedigrees till theirs 4th generations.
Growing up raising and hunting quail, I appreciate the work of Tall Timbers. It is a shame that what was passed on to me will not be passed on to my kids due to lack of habitat. Places I use to hunt are all housing developments. Keep saving quail habitat!
