When I used to get that bus it was the 388. Mind you that was in the 70's. It used to go along Cadbury Heath Road, past Brian Lear's coal yard and left into Newton Road down to the Island.
I never realised til watching this video that a bus ran up Pound Lane in Nailsea. Please do some more bus videos across Somerset, i really enjoyed this one :-)
My home was the large White House double roofed house backing onto the main road on the right a few seconds after the start of the video. It was the farm house to the Smyth estate at Ashton Park. It was called the rosary. We bought the house in 1959 for £4,000 pounds and sold it in 1964 for £9,000. I used to get on the bus where the video began, and used to go to the primary school on the left about half a mile down. My father used to go shooting with the landlord of the Angel in on the right. Happy days, for a while at least.
Love it. We'd love to show this on Made in Bristol TV on our regular segment showcasing great local videos from social media. Would you be happy to let us broadcast this with a credit to you?
