Looks like a good road to cruise on, got plenty of bends and scenery. A few dodgy patches along the edges there to watch out for. That Is a good camera angle too. Nice to hear that big engine plonking along, not drowned out by wind noise.
Cheers. Thanks for watching. The wind noise can be a pain. I went for ride yesterday and got some good footage, but the wind noise is terrible. Was trying some new covers which made is worse. Will have to keep trying. Stay safe.
at the dip before you climb up the gorge, a girlfriend and I had a very hot day ride just before the 5.10 min mark we decided to take a dip at the rest area, I mean strip off and into the cold water. A tourist coach pulled up as we were in the water, full of Japanese tourist, well that was a laugh, we casually grabbed our gear and put it on, the bus did not stay too long, we passed it on the other side of the Mahoenui Hill. I did a mad ride with a mate back in the 90s, he had a ZZ1100 I had the Yam FJ1200, he said he always wanted to see how fast he could go up the Mahoenui Hill, it was fast, I think we hit around the 230kmh going up and slowed to about 150 at the top, it felt like I could get off and walk. Yes miss my bikes and riding, thanks for a great video, a road I have travelled for many years in trucks,c cars vans and of course motorbikes
Mean bend as he approach when cam stops filming! Not that far from entering Ingelwood town ship from the east. Passing neat ball courts, pool & skat park
Hi Jeff. Thanks for watching. Sorry a bit miss leading. I don't trust the fuel gauge so I reset the trip meter each time I refuel. It's the trip meter showing. The beast has done around 50 K.
Thanks for watching. After the tunnel there is only about 1 km of tar seal, then gravel. You can go 2 ways. 1 is a return ride and the other take you through Okoki back to Urenui. Turns back to tar seal around Okoki. Play safe.👌
Why not put a net over it? Idk what they're made out of, but where i live, there are big nets that hold the fallen rocks back, granted my pass is much smaller than this one.
Thanks for watching. I had a new tyre on this ride and it was playing on my mind a little. Squared off a few corners as a result but always scanning ahead to be sure it was safe. Cheers for your concern.
Stopping in at the pub ofc was there a few days ago with the girlfriends family went and did the old whanga road and went out through atuia and around was good fun
I like this side by side view with graphics. Easier to scan video left to right rather than top to bottom. This is great you get to see what you're seeing when coming up to corners and then with the rear view what your body and bike is doing In corners 👍
